A year or 2 ago the great Julio Cesar Chavez fought fellow Mexican icon Jorge Arce in 2 exhibition bouts. Arce was 40 and Chavez was 57. The first fight started off as a light sparring match but then got more heated as the fight went on. The 2nd bout, a few months later, they went at it. And i'm telling you, Chavez looked amazing. His left hook to the body is still legit. And he boxed Arce's ears off

Chael is right about boxing’s mistake of making it unacceptable to lose a fight. I get frustrated when UFV fans get hyper focused on fighters’ records instead of interesting matchups. I think that single biggest sign and fault of a causal viewer. People will learn to get over that in time.
That last bit he said about boxing is straight facts. Politics and inflated records have made that whole sport boring.

A year or 2 ago the great Julio Cesar Chavez fought fellow Mexican icon Jorge Arce in 2 exhibition bouts. Arce was 40 and Chavez was 57. The first fight started off as a light sparring match but then got more heated as the fight went on. The 2nd bout, a few months later, they went at it. And i'm telling you, Chavez looked amazing. His left hook to the body is still legit. And he boxed Arce's ears off
I was shocked i was made to feel uncomfortable in my own home by myself watching jake at the press conference,i felt like i was in someone elses house and nobody invited me

honestly the thought of seeing previous greats that have retired and coming back for exhibition matches sounds amazing. even if the UFC just did something like a weekly show to exhibit their skills it would be cool.

3:45 Great insight. Although we fail to understnad that Boxing in TV is a business owned by some people - THe same like a bakery or a pharmacy - it really sucks for fans to see good fights not happening because fighters see it as too high risk for their future cashflows.
Such a great point about it being unacceptable to lose, really kills the sport.

I myself had a changed of attitude of how this match will go. When I saw this man Ben face Palm Paul and literally turn his back in no fear I saw a man with 100 percent confidence that we will win.
You know boxing is sliding when undefeated fighters are afraid to face fighters with 2 or more losses.
