I am pure Bulgarian. When I was in Serbia everybody thought that I am Serbian. In restaurants, in coffee bars. And the Serbs liked not too much different from the Bulgarians. The Serb language is pretty understandable. iI felt like at home and I had great time. . Greetings neighbors.
I find it interesting why some Bulgarians do not know that ~1400 years ago your ancestors were Serbs who were enslaved by the Avars, when the Bulgars appeared they liberated the enslaved Serbs who out of gratitude asked if the Bulgars would like to become their lords and they did, the Serbs accepted the name of their Bulgarian lords and these same lords accepted the ancient Serbian language. I once had a friend from Bulgaria who was very patriotic about Bulgaria and he told me that Serbs are also Bulgarians, when I asked him what Bulgar means in Slavic he could not explain it, I then showed him that the original Bulgars did not inhabit the Balkans, so who lived there all those centuries before the Bulgars appeared? He did not know, then I reminded him of how the inhabitants of that area, who were Serbian, accepted the name Bulgars, at first he denied it and said I was insane, after a few months he called me up and said that he had secretly set out to prove me wrong so he tried to find evidence which would prove that these people were not Serbian but have always been Bulgarian or some other Slavic nicknamed group. After going at it every single day he concluded that I am right and that many Bulgarians will rather live in a lie than admit that their direct ancestors were partially Serbian, now I had no problem with him believing what he believed, I respect people's opinions no matter how different they are to my opinion but he was so caught up with this that he thought it would be very easy for him to convince me that Serbs are Bulgarians, unfortunately it ended up the exact opposite way, him coming to terms with the fact that Serbs and Bulgarians *are brothers* and that despite our struggles we are more alike than we are with the peoples we deem good friends so I do not find it strange that when you visited Serbia that you were treated like a Serb and I am sure had you said that you were Bulgarian most Serbs would still treat you like a brother and I would do so as well, a Bulgar and a Serb are brothers no matter what.

However calling all South slavs Serbians is not serious statement. .First the original inhabitants of the lands of modern Bulgaria and Serbia were Thracians and Ilirians. The Slavs were all living on a separate Slav Union tribes. Even the Serbian state was established later than the Bulgarian one. Slavs overwhelmed the local Thracians and Ilirians by deleting their advanced culture forcing them to accept Slavic names and customs. BTW you are one of the few people who acknowledge our Slav heritage. Most of Serbs refer to us as Tatars who accepted the Slavic language. Best regards bro.

Therefore the Bulgarian slavs were just Slavs. Following your logic here you and the Sorbians in Germany (they are Slav minority on the Polish border so called white Serbians) are one nation which you are not. On the other hand Bulgarian state included the lands of East Serbia for many centuries. Even the city of Belgrade was a prominent Bulgarian border city. Alba Bulgarica. Check it in Google. To answer her question on why your DNA results are slightly different: You both inherit 50% of your DNA from your father, and 50% of your DNA from your mother. Just because you are siblings doesn't mean you will inherit the exact same 50% from each parent (that only happens with identical twins). In this case, one got more Romanian DNA from your parent(s), while the other sibling got more of the Croatian DNA from your parent(s).
I don’t think you are reading these results property. You match with people who did the test in those countries. There is no Romanian or Serbian gene. For your information Romanians and Serbians are very similar genetically. Ukrainians too. Not to mention Croats and Bosnian Muslim.

I'm Serbian but my family is from Croatia and my results showed about 6 or 7 different Balkan countries. What this test primarily does is plot where on a map they found DNA in some other that is common with yours and that's pretty much it. So basically you could be Serbian but another country could show up because there are some members of your Serbian family who emigrated there. It's really important to note that this is ALL this test does. Technically, you may be linked with a country for TWO reasons - You are ethnically of that country OR you have some family who is there who shares your DNA. Also, I would recommend that you get one of your parents to take the test and combine your results as they will be recalculated and will get more accurate

You have to be careful when it comes to specific countries on these tests. For this one it determines things like say Balkan vs Scandinavian etc. looking at your gene patterns (also note even here there can be overlap so sometimes the ratio matters and do you get something out of line for the typical ratio of components for people from your place or not, you should see what your ratio of regions (again not countries, the part where is gives % of each region) is like compared to other Serbians on average, if you have noticeably more of some region then it's more likely you had ancestors from there in modern times) but when it lists countries it does that by looking at your DNA matches. They toss out super close matches like immediate family or 1st or 2nd cousins and then see how many people you match from various countries who listed their grandparents as having been born there and then try to normalize for the number of people who have tested in each country and then apply some other adjustments to try to get it to work better. But if you are from a country where not many people have tested it's tricky for it to work as well and some countries that could be strong show only more tentatively since they don't have enough people testing from there yet. Also, for the countries, it can sometimes mean not where your ancestors were from but where the descendants of some particular ancestor on some perhaps somewhat distant side branch ended up. So sometimes it just tells you where some people you are related to live but not necessarily where your ancestors came from. Like you could have say some 6th great grandparent from Serbia and then his brother maybe had a son or grandson who went off to Romania and then you get a bunch of Romanian matches potentially. They try to account for that sort of stuff and cancel it out, but they can't do it completely for such areas with relatively lower testing and in some cases way back many people from region or country went to another and then there is no way to filter that out. So while you may well have some Romanian ancestry it's also possible that you have none at all but simply many cousins or distant cousins who ended up living in Romania after some few times great grandparent's sibling went off to Romania. Anyway, still interesting since it does say for sure that at the least you had many possibly distant cousins who ended up in Romania. Sometimes it can be tricky to figure out which it is (or perhaps it's both). At the very least you have some notable connection to Romania whether directly or through lots of cousins/distant cousins. In Eastern Europe things were often both more static and less static than expected. You may have some lines that barely left a village for generations but then some lines that came in from all over. If you had some baron's DNA way back enter your line, maybe by out of wedlock, they could bring in DNA from all across Europe into your genes way back, for one.

Isto kao i da su Hrvati tijekom turskih osvajanja prelazili na pravoslavlje (u BiH) i na islam, zbog porezne politike Turaka prema katolicima i drugih prisila, a kasnije su samo zbog vjere, vremenom postali Srbi (pravoslavci). U kraljevini Jugoslaviji to se dokumentom proglasilo, svi pravoslavci postaju Srbi, pa tako i Vlasi, a propaganda je kroz generacije odradila svoje. CCC, trebalo je da vam objasne kako se evaluiraju ti testovi. Bukvalno što više uzoraka skupe, šire bazu, i onda nove uzorke upoređuju sa bazom (starim uzorcima) i dodeljuju vam "narodnosti" prema njihovom spisku prethodnih analiza. (NA primer, ako u toj bazi postoji 1 Hrvat s tim genima, tebi će pokazati da si 100% Hrvat, ali će zato sledećem (i Hrvatu i Srbinu) pokazati da su 50/50 i tako statistički dok zapravo ne dođu do nekog dovoljno velikog broja (milioni uzoraka) da bi taj rpocenat bio bar donekle približno tačan). Ti rezultati ukazuju na dva očigeldna zaključka: 1. nema mnogo Srba u bazi, to jest ima malo "blesavih" Srba da na to daju 50-60 evra (ajd vi ste zbog videa, da vas izuzmemo). 2. Svi koji se testiraju iz Srbije dođe im da su 70-80% Hrvati ili 70-80% Bosanci, što samo pokazuje da je broj onih testiranih u Bosni i Hrvatskoj daleko veći nego u Srbiji, inače ti haplogeni su apsolutno isti i za Hrvate i za Bosance i za Srbe, što već svi znamo zašto su isti... To što tebi pokazuje da si 80% Hrvatica, takođe znači da je 80% Hrvata sa tim istim tvojim genima (pre će biti srpskim), koje delite s nekim zajedničkim pretkom. 3. Takođe, Ukrajina -- bila je velika seoba dve grupe Srba iz Austrougarske u Ukrajinu u XVIII veku, nju su zapravo i osnovali Srbi jer su došli tamo, kao i uvek, borili se s Turcima, kao i uvek, i dobili svoju vojnu krajinu, kao i uvek, da u njoj posle nekoliko decenija ponovo izginu... naravno, posle su to izgazile silne vojske i više puta skoro istrebile stanovništvo, ali nešto srpske krvi je sigurno preteklo, naročito u Lugansku (Slavjanoserpsku), Slavjansku i Krivom Rogu. Tako da ti verovatno nije poreklo iz Ukrajine, nego neko u Ukrajini deli zajedničkog pretka s tobom (koji je iz Austrougarske nekad davno zapucao u carsku Rusiju). 4. Grčki gen je skoro normalan, tokom XVIII i XIX veka bilo je mnogo doseljavanja pravoslavnog življa sa juga na slobodne srpske teritorije, najpre u Autrougarsku a potom i u slobodnu Srbiju, naročito slovenskih šopskih plemena (moji su upravo došli s juga u vreme Hajduk Veljka, svakako Sloveni, ali koji su vekovima živeli oko Soluna i u Makedoniji (grčkoj) i mešali se s Grcima ali i takozvanih Cincara (Grka trgovaca, od kojih su skoro svi prešli u Srbe s vremenom se mešajući s njima), ali poreklo im je naravno Peloponez, Solun, Olimpijska regija, Makedonija (grčka)... Tako da svi sa juga Srbije, ali i po Vojvodini, imaju bar malo grčkog u sebi :) 5. A Skandinavija... pa, sad bili jednom jedni vikinzi, išli okolo, palili, pljačkali, silovali... 2% dođe 5 generacija unazad, ako je direktni čisti Skandinavac predak, i ako je samo jedan, ali koliko je Germana ovde došlo i prošlo -- i ne samo u ratovima, počev od Novog Brda na Kosovu i Srebrenice, sa naseljenim nemačkim rudarima, pa onda naseljavanje Germana tokom Austrougarske, naročito na teritoriju Vojvodine (tamo je pre II svetskog rata bilo Nemaca možda i više nego Mađara, samo su posle rata zbrisali, a ko nije imao petokraku na kapi, njega su komunisti zbrisali kad nije već umeo sam... ) Tako da ništa čudno ako neki starosedelac Vojvodine ima germanske krvi, a kroz germansku, i skandinavske (to je Danska, Švedska, Norveška). 6. Rumunski gen isto, postojala je srpska krajina i severno od Dunava na teritoriji Rumunije, štaviše, ima i danas dosta Srba u Rumuniji, upravo u južnim krajevima. Opet, to rumunsko poreklo zapravo nije poreklo već deljenje zajedničkog pretka, a znam odobro iz istorije da su migracije išle mnogo ka severu, a vrlo malo ka jugu (zbog Turaka)... P. S. Mislim da je nepotrebno raditi te testove da bi se saznalo poreklo... Nije da ne možemo da pratimo porodično stablo bar do početka XIX veka, ako krenete istorijskim putem, kad tad ćete naići na pretke iz Bosne, a zatim dalje iz Dalmacije, Crne Gore ili Kosova, jer to je obično bio put srpskih doseljenika u Vojvodini od XV do XX veka... Dakle, plajvaz u ruke i blokče i redom -- obe dede, sve četiri pradede, pa svih osam čukundeda, pa šesnaest čukunčukundeda (već postaje vrtoglavo, a tu smo negde oko 1900. tek) pa isto i po ženskoj liniji, po crkvenim registrima, matičnim knjigama, istorijskoj arhivi... videćete da ćete po glavnoj liniji lako stići bar do 1800.

Your 9.5% and hers 7.smth% Ukraine is simply the slavic migration. It may show up as either Poland or Ukraine, as there were two separate sources for the slavic migrations to the balkans.
I've noticed that most people from the Balkans have "Eastern Europe" on the 23 and me test with countries such as Poland, Ukraine, and Russia most frequently listed. It's likely that this is due to migration, however, the 23andme test is an autosomnal dNA test (which assesses DNA from both parents) and it is only able to assess DNA within a short period (about 150-200 years back) and goes back no further.

But w that said, its unable to do so even in one generation. It is susceptible to interference. When a close to 100% italian man and a close to 100% english woman had a child, their child scored close to 100% french.

That is where proto Slavs formed and then dispersed. It is no coincidence. There were two separate lineages of slavs, with two main R1a subclades to follow. We can actuallu witness this in my country of Croatia. Croatia sustained migrations from both lineages, Slovenia only one, and BiH also only one BUT the other one. @@jelenajm1160 autosomal DNA is a much better indicator of provenience than haploid markers (circular nucleoid of the mitochondrion or mitochondrial DNA hg + nonrecombinant Y chromosome or Y DNA hg). Recombinant DNA includes the autosomes+ recombinant Y (5% of the Y chromosome). Haploid markers (haplogroups) are much more prone to genetic drifts and thus sudden great increases/descreases in frequency. They also dont reflect anything about your provenience, rather they are used to assess migration signals in a population when tested collectively. All autosomal tests have a time limitation (going back to the formation of reference groups), but here's the issue w commercial tests; they test using reference populations such as "Greek", "Italian", "German", etc These are extremely recent conceptions, and tend to lead to inconsistent result+prone to interference. An autosomal analysis in a study on the other hand will use cathegories such as: North/East european South/West European West Asian Middle Eastern SS African Siberian East Asian Amerindian
You are not reading this results right. If you are 'Balkan' that means you are part of haplogroup I2 which are southern proto-European. Congratulations you are native to that land. Everything 'Eastern European' means that you are part of haplogroup R1a aka ''Slavic gene''.

@DOF boy ništa nije pogrešio... greše kad kažu da su Srbi živeli u Anatoliji i te gluposti, ali ovde nema greške. Moj prvi predak sa majčine strane je iz Tesalije. U šestom veku je primio hrišćanstvo i kršten u Ivka. Tako da...nema greške. Većina Grka u severnoj Grčkoj ima dosta slovenskog DNK zbog migracija.

I think this tests are very inaccurate. There has been a large population shifts in the last 600 hundred years in the Balkans . So I could be a serbian who became albanian or albanian who become Greek or albanian who become Serbian this are historical facts. Da vam objasnim sta je u pozadini. Starija evropska mezolitska haplogrupa I2a1 je bila rasprostranjena po celoj Evropi a posebno po zapadnoj Evropi I Britanskim Otocima. U nadiranju muskaraca R1b iz Jamnaya culture danasnje Ukrainev iz Kaspiskih stepa, ova I2a1 je genocidirana. Jedan deo se spasava tako da napustaju glavne evropske reke gdevsu ziveli ti mezolitski Evropljani, na Dunavu, Savi Dravi, Tamisu i beze na Dinarske I Karpatske planinske lance. Tu se radja mladja I2a2 haplogrupa nazvana Dinarsko Dunavska. Starija I2a1 se u bezanju na istok pojavljuje u Ukrajini pa čak ide do Mongolije tj ukljucuje se u Aryans movement prema Istoku. U Skotskoj su preziveli ostaci I2a1 starije Evropske mezolitske haplogrupe. Sad vidite da su Srbi i drugi narodi koji nose podgrupe od I2 evropske paleolitske haplogrupe najstariji narod Evrope.

Romanians are paleo Balkanic people (basically you were here before Slavs) and most paleo Balkanic people were romanized and so they speak Romance languages (like Romanian and other “Romanians” - Vlachs around the Balkans. Vlachs is what they called romanized Illyrians, Dacians, Thracians). So in a way you’re right but we’re not directly descended from you however we still do share much common ancestry since both of our peoples have been in the Balkans for millenniums.

I find it interesting why some Bulgarians do not know that ~1400 years ago your ancestors were Serbs who were enslaved by the Avars, when the Bulgars appeared they liberated the enslaved Serbs who out of gratitude asked if the Bulgars would like to become their lords and they did, the Serbs accepted the name of their Bulgarian lords and these same lords accepted the ancient Serbian language.
I once had a friend from Bulgaria who was very patriotic about Bulgaria and he told me that Serbs are also Bulgarians, when I asked him what Bulgar means in Slavic he could not explain it, I then showed him that the original Bulgars did not inhabit the Balkans, so who lived there all those centuries before the Bulgars appeared? He did not know, then I reminded him of how the inhabitants of that area, who were Serbian, accepted the name Bulgars, at first he denied it and said I was insane, after a few months he called me up and said that he had secretly set out to prove me wrong so he tried to find evidence which would prove that these people were not Serbian but have always been Bulgarian or some other Slavic nicknamed group.
After going at it every single day he concluded that I am right and that many Bulgarians will rather live in a lie than admit that their direct ancestors were partially Serbian, now I had no problem with him believing what he believed, I respect people's opinions no matter how different they are to my opinion but he was so caught up with this that he thought it would be very easy for him to convince me that Serbs are Bulgarians, unfortunately it ended up the exact opposite way, him coming to terms with the fact that Serbs and Bulgarians *are brothers* and that despite our struggles we are more alike than we are with the peoples we deem good friends so I do not find it strange that when you visited Serbia that you were treated like a Serb and I am sure had you said that you were Bulgarian most Serbs would still treat you like a brother and I would do so as well, a Bulgar and a Serb are brothers no matter what.

However calling all South slavs Serbians is not serious statement. .First the original inhabitants of the lands of modern Bulgaria and Serbia were Thracians and Ilirians. The Slavs were all living on a separate Slav Union tribes. Even the Serbian state was established later than the Bulgarian one. Slavs overwhelmed the local Thracians and Ilirians by deleting their advanced culture forcing them to accept Slavic names and customs.

You both inherit 50% of your DNA from your father, and 50% of your DNA from your mother. Just because you are siblings doesn't mean you will inherit the exact same 50% from each parent (that only happens with identical twins). In this case, one got more Romanian DNA from your parent(s), while the other sibling got more of the Croatian DNA from your parent(s).

I'm Serbian but my family is from Croatia and my results showed about 6 or 7 different Balkan countries. What this test primarily does is plot where on a map they found DNA in some other that is common with yours and that's pretty much it. So basically you could be Serbian but another country could show up because there are some members of your Serbian family who emigrated there. It's really important to note that this is ALL this test does. Technically, you may be linked with a country for TWO reasons - You are ethnically of that country OR you have some family who is there who shares your DNA. Also, I would recommend that you get one of your parents to take the test and combine your results as they will be recalculated and will get more accurate

You have to be careful when it comes to specific countries on these tests. For this one it determines things like say Balkan vs Scandinavian etc. looking at your gene patterns (also note even here there can be overlap so sometimes the ratio matters and do you get something out of line for the typical ratio of components for people from your place or not, you should see what your ratio of regions (again not countries, the part where is gives % of each region) is like compared to other Serbians on average, if you have noticeably more of some region then it's more likely you had ancestors from there in modern times) but when it lists countries it does that by looking at your DNA matches. They toss out super close matches like immediate family or 1st or 2nd cousins and then see how many people you match from various countries who listed their grandparents as having been born there and then try to normalize for the number of people who have tested in each country and then apply some other adjustments to try to get it to work better. But if you are from a country where not many people have tested it's tricky for it to work as well and some countries that could be strong show only more tentatively since they don't have enough people testing from there yet.
Also, for the countries, it can sometimes mean not where your ancestors were from but where the descendants of some particular ancestor on some perhaps somewhat distant side branch ended up. So sometimes it just tells you where some people you are related to live but not necessarily where your ancestors came from. Like you could have say some 6th great grandparent from Serbia and then his brother maybe had a son or grandson who went off to Romania and then you get a bunch of Romanian matches potentially. They try to account for that sort of stuff and cancel it out, but they can't do it completely for such areas with relatively lower testing and in some cases way back many people from region or country went to another and then there is no way to filter that out.
So while you may well have some Romanian ancestry it's also possible that you have none at all but simply many cousins or distant cousins who ended up living in Romania after some few times great grandparent's sibling went off to Romania. Anyway, still interesting since it does say for sure that at the least you had many possibly distant cousins who ended up in Romania. Sometimes it can be tricky to figure out which it is (or perhaps it's both). At the very least you have some notable connection to Romania whether directly or through lots of cousins/distant cousins.
In Eastern Europe things were often both more static and less static than expected. You may have some lines that barely left a village for generations but then some lines that came in from all over. If you had some baron's DNA way back enter your line, maybe by out of wedlock, they could bring in DNA from all across Europe into your genes way back, for one.

Isto kao i da su Hrvati tijekom turskih osvajanja prelazili na pravoslavlje (u BiH) i na islam, zbog porezne politike Turaka prema katolicima i drugih prisila, a kasnije su samo zbog vjere, vremenom postali Srbi (pravoslavci). U kraljevini Jugoslaviji to se dokumentom proglasilo, svi pravoslavci postaju Srbi, pa tako i Vlasi, a propaganda je kroz generacije odradila svoje. Tehnologija i istina je najveca opasnost za projekt "srpski svet".
CCC, trebalo je da vam objasne kako se evaluiraju ti testovi. Bukvalno što više uzoraka skupe, šire bazu, i onda nove uzorke upoređuju sa bazom (starim uzorcima) i dodeljuju vam "narodnosti" prema njihovom spisku prethodnih analiza. (NA primer, ako u toj bazi postoji 1 Hrvat s tim genima, tebi će pokazati da si 100% Hrvat, ali će zato sledećem (i Hrvatu i Srbinu) pokazati da su 50/50 i tako statistički dok zapravo ne dođu do nekog dovoljno velikog broja (milioni uzoraka) da bi taj rpocenat bio bar donekle približno tačan). Ti rezultati ukazuju na dva očigeldna zaključka: 1. nema mnogo Srba u bazi, to jest ima malo "blesavih" Srba da na to daju 50-60 evra (ajd vi ste zbog videa, da vas izuzmemo). 2. Svi koji se testiraju iz Srbije dođe im da su 70-80% Hrvati ili 70-80% Bosanci, što samo pokazuje da je broj onih testiranih u Bosni i Hrvatskoj daleko veći nego u Srbiji, inače ti haplogeni su apsolutno isti i za Hrvate i za Bosance i za Srbe, što već svi znamo zašto su isti... To što tebi pokazuje da si 80% Hrvatica, takođe znači da je 80% Hrvata sa tim istim tvojim genima (pre će biti srpskim), koje delite s nekim zajedničkim pretkom. 3. Takođe, Ukrajina -- bila je velika seoba dve grupe Srba iz Austrougarske u Ukrajinu u XVIII veku, nju su zapravo i osnovali Srbi jer su došli tamo, kao i uvek, borili se s Turcima, kao i uvek, i dobili svoju vojnu krajinu, kao i uvek, da u njoj posle nekoliko decenija ponovo izginu... naravno, posle su to izgazile silne vojske i više puta skoro istrebile stanovništvo, ali nešto srpske krvi je sigurno preteklo, naročito u Lugansku (Slavjanoserpsku), Slavjansku i Krivom Rogu. Tako da ti verovatno nije poreklo iz Ukrajine, nego neko u Ukrajini deli zajedničkog pretka s tobom (koji je iz Austrougarske nekad davno zapucao u carsku Rusiju). 4. Grčki gen je skoro normalan, tokom XVIII i XIX veka bilo je mnogo doseljavanja pravoslavnog življa sa juga na slobodne srpske teritorije, najpre u Autrougarsku a potom i u slobodnu Srbiju, naročito slovenskih šopskih plemena (moji su upravo došli s juga u vreme Hajduk Veljka, svakako Sloveni, ali koji su vekovima živeli oko Soluna i u Makedoniji (grčkoj) i mešali se s Grcima ali i takozvanih Cincara (Grka trgovaca, od kojih su skoro svi prešli u Srbe s vremenom se mešajući s njima), ali poreklo im je naravno Peloponez, Solun, Olimpijska regija, Makedonija (grčka)... Tako da svi sa juga Srbije, ali i po Vojvodini, imaju bar malo grčkog u sebi :) 5. A Skandinavija... pa, sad bili jednom jedni vikinzi, išli okolo, palili, pljačkali, silovali... 2% dođe 5 generacija unazad, ako je direktni čisti Skandinavac predak, i ako je samo jedan, ali koliko je Germana ovde došlo i prošlo -- i ne samo u ratovima, počev od Novog Brda na Kosovu i Srebrenice, sa naseljenim nemačkim rudarima, pa onda naseljavanje Germana tokom Austrougarske, naročito na teritoriju Vojvodine (tamo je pre II svetskog rata bilo Nemaca možda i više nego Mađara, samo su posle rata zbrisali, a ko nije imao petokraku na kapi, njega su komunisti zbrisali kad nije već umeo sam... ) Tako da ništa čudno ako neki starosedelac Vojvodine ima germanske krvi, a kroz germansku, i skandinavske (to je Danska, Švedska, Norveška). 6. Rumunski gen isto, postojala je srpska krajina i severno od Dunava na teritoriji Rumunije, štaviše, ima i danas dosta Srba u Rumuniji, upravo u južnim krajevima. Opet, to rumunsko poreklo zapravo nije poreklo već deljenje zajedničkog pretka, a znam odobro iz istorije da su migracije išle mnogo ka severu, a vrlo malo ka jugu (zbog Turaka)...
P. S. Mislim da je nepotrebno raditi te testove da bi se saznalo poreklo... Nije da ne možemo da pratimo porodično stablo bar do početka XIX veka, ako krenete istorijskim putem, kad tad ćete naići na pretke iz Bosne, a zatim dalje iz Dalmacije, Crne Gore ili Kosova, jer to je obično bio put srpskih doseljenika u Vojvodini od XV do XX veka... Dakle, plajvaz u ruke i blokče i redom -- obe dede, sve četiri pradede, pa svih osam čukundeda, pa šesnaest čukunčukundeda (već postaje vrtoglavo, a tu smo negde oko 1900. tek) pa isto i po ženskoj liniji, po crkvenim registrima, matičnim knjigama, istorijskoj arhivi... videćete da ćete po glavnoj liniji lako stići bar do 1800.

All autosomal tests have a time limitation (going back to the formation of reference groups), but here's the issue w commercial tests;
they test using reference populations such as "Greek", "Italian", "German", etc
These are extremely recent conceptions, and tend to lead to inconsistent result+prone to interference.
An autosomal analysis in a study on the other hand will use cathegories such as:
North/East european
South/West European
West Asian
Middle Eastern
SS African
Siberian

Not exactly brother. Romanians are paleo Balkanic people (basically you were here before Slavs) and most paleo Balkanic people were romanized and so they speak Romance languages (like Romanian and other “Romanians” - Vlachs around the Balkans. Vlachs is what they called romanized Illyrians, Dacians, Thracians). So in a way you’re right but we’re not directly descended from you however we still do share much common ancestry since both of our peoples have been in the Balkans for millenniums.
