- In this episode we head back to broome to check out the town in a less crowded time!! We hit up Matsos Brewery and The beautiful Cable beach before heading into Barn Hill Station for some epic sunsets!!
I’m a geologist who is enjoying your episodes. The “metal” is geothite, an iron oxide which give everything in northern WA the red/brown colour. The “painted” ones are formed from exposure to arid conditions for a long time - called “vitreous geothite”. The “tubes” are concretions, iron oxide filling in old voids/holes in the sand stone. They can also form around old tree roots from when there was more vegetations in the region - called “riso concretions”. That’s probably rock nerd enough for you, enjoy your travels!
Wow that’s really interesting! Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!!
Thank you for the explanation.
Great video thanks. One suggestion I have is that when you are driving and giving us a rundown of what you are up to it would be great to see more of the view out of the windscreen. We already know what you look like so what you are seeing is more interesting. Just a friendly suggestion. Love your work.
Thanks for the suggestion! It has been mentioned previously so will look at putting more outside shots in future eps! 🙌🏼
Great episode brought back lots of memories ❤
Thank you
Another great episode. Loving following you guys.

Hi guys, its been a while since i've checked in. Good to see you outv that rain that followed you and enjoying the sunshine. I will to get to Broome one day. West coast looks awesome. Look forward to checking in more. Cheers n beers👍🏻
Cheer!! Weather has been great to us since the east coast! Broome is great and we can’t wait to get back and explore it properly!!
Cool vid guys looks awesome 👌 👏 👍
Thanks mate! 🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing another great video. You would have thought there would have been a geologist among us to answer the rock questions.
Oh so it is a geologist?! We weren’t sure! Rocks are def a surprise interest for us!
Keep up the wicked vids guys loving the content 🤙🏻
Thanks Ben!!
lovely ep and spots
Thank you!
Great video. Was at Barn Hill in May. Loved the two days we were there. Next time will be for longer. Guys went out about 500 meters in dinghies and caught some good fish.
Thanks! Yeah next time round we’ll hopefully have a boat with a trailer so we can launch it easily at spots like this!
Cracka vid guys 👍 Enjoy 😁
Thanks!!
Great video guys, love how you still show everything that doesn’t quite go to plan. We would have driven past all the people as well and missed the camels going past 🤣
Yeah shopping prices are out of control 🤦♂️
Thanks! Yep it’s not always rainbows and lollipops!!
01:25 I've been to Broome more than several times and stay at that caravan park for 5-6 weeks from early-Winter, before moving up to 80 Mile Beach (I'm a fisho). The small spots are wicked at that park. There are several 'drive through' spots. I book the corner spots (yes, two) over near the maintenance shed almost by the exit road. Drive in, drop the van and go driving and fishing; I'm retired, so can afford two spots and avoid a lot of hassle. I get a 30% discount for 5-6 weeks.
Sounds like the perfect set up!!
What a fun episode guys! 😆 “I like hard things!” 😂
Haha 🤣 thanks guys!
Awesome video
Thanks!!!
WA rocks!! Yep, grocery prices are going sky-high, Coles and Woolies going for larger margins.
Makes the budget very hard to stretch!
I became a rock nerd on my first visit to The Kimberley and the Pilbara 😂😂😂
🤣 it’s just so beautiful!
Just binge watched the last 3 vids, great content, cool fishing! Just wondering what do you guys do for internet/wifi, portable wifi? Bakery, vanilla slice hahaha, Yum! 😋
Thank you! We had a nighthawk portable wifi through Telstra for a long time which was ok but we now have Starlink and it is amazing!
Awesome episode guys 👏🏼👏🏼
When will you have more L T-Shirts back in stock?
Thank you 🙏 we are working on getting some sizes back in stock, keep an eye on our socials and we’ll post something when they are available ☺️
If you're still in the area, you gotta check out Matsos Brewery in Broome. Maker of the best brewed Ginger Beer, and a slightly crazy Chilli beer. Gotta try it!
We did and it was awesome!
@@nowornever_aus always been tempted to visit but it's cool hearing from people who have. Now I gotta go!
47 years old... lived WA my whole adult life.... Never had an Emu Export.
Get yourself down to the bottle shop and treat yourself! 😂😂
The rocks look like metal cause it’s what metal is made of, Iron ore iron stone thousands of years old brought to the surface like volcanic magna
So fascinating! Thanks for the info!
Coupla drinks....lol
😂😂😂
generally those red rocks are red cause thats rust basically and they have oxidised because of the iron ore content
Thanks mate! We find it all very interesting!
@@nowornever_aus love the videos guys. Great little family you have. We are in Brisbane and love watching you're trip. Safe travels
Thanks mate!! Looking forward to getting back to Bros to see fam after Xmas!
High deposits of iron ore would be my guess
Thanks!
You are in iron ore country of the Pilbara. From Broome to Exmouth.
Absolutely beautiful area!
Broome is in the Kimberley.
Exmouth is in the Gascoyne.
So I am Queenslander who just spent 6 mths in WA. Got my areas mixed up but enjoyed the travel.
That’s all that matters mate! 🙌🏻
Great video, audio's a bit crap in spots.🤐👍
Oh bugger, we try pretty hard to get them all pretty good, can we ask what part was the worst?
its pronounced "bush chook"
😂 yeah we found out how passionate west aussies are about their chooks!
