I don't care, I love his vocals. They sound like he's in a lot of pain, its fucking rad! Makes the whole atmosphere a lot more erie.

Believe it or not as of recently his vocals just started to finally click. I've seen him in the studio's before and his vocals used to be SO quiet but recently they have gotten much louder and more consistent

Completely agree, I have some nights when my vocals will be better than perfect, then some nights my vocals will just be slacking, sometimes it can all be down to what you do before you go on stage or what kind of mood you are in, of course there are other things.

Every live Chelsea Grin video I go to. There is always someone justifying why Alex's vocals suck in the video. And try to say that, "this isn't his night" or "he is sick"

I don't think he did a terrible job here Alex's vocals are unique SO of course they used to get worn out easy this was 4 years ago his vocals has matured since then and even even then he kicked ass he was tired in this video can't you people see that I don't appreciate people calling his vocals trash because I'm someone who has talent like Alex and I think talent should be appreciated even when it's not at it's full potential

One is the bassist. It's basically used to set the rhythm. The other two are actual guitars used for melodies.

Honestly some can't jump around and do all the screaming live, its not as easy as it looks, but their shows still have amazing fucking energy and no fans complain.
kick drum sounds dope on the plus side.
I've never had this problem for some reason, Sick or whatever, my vocals always perform the same. I had someone (A Metal vocalist of nearly twenty years) once tell me "You have to be able to scream, even when sick."

not using this as an excuse cuz iknow his highs can be bad live, but something seems off with his vocals. if you watch the other videos from this night he doesnt even do highs. he must have been struggling with em all nite lol

as a vocalist or "screamer", there are just some nights your voice doesnt want to do what you want it to do. could be sick, could be anything. it sucks!
especially near the end of a show or like during a fucking tour, the guitars can play those songs a thousand times a day and be just as nasty, even more nasty at the end of the day even but the screamer hes got days where his voice/throat just wont do it and its hard to repeatedly do what alex does for hours on end it does suck.
I feel like every live video of them sucks compared to when I saw them at warped tour, wired.
Yeah, i dunno how vocalists do it. At least if the drummer has a cold he can still expect the cymbals to sound the same. And the thing is, humans are so good at listening to voices, even if he's off just a bit we'll hear it. But the guitar could be just a little out of tune and we'd never catch it.
