- Marvel Studios is making a lot more MCU projects but there's a catch, not all of them will make it to the screen. Marvel Studios has said they're releasing less MCU movies and shows but a new report tells us that Marvel has a new system in place for their studio and now they're making more movies and shows but not all of them will make the cut and make it to the big screen or silver screen. With Marvel phase 6 and Marvel phase 7, we'll here many projects that are in development but not all will get made however, the characters will still debut in the MCU.

I really hope this goes well. Big changes are a risk, but without risk, there is no improvement.
I think the MCU is on the right path now, so many movies I am excited for, but not too many so it doesn't feel jaring like phase 4 and 5. (Also, 50 seconds, I'm kinda proud.)

This sounds great, kinda weird to believe that it took so long to become like "other studios" but covid really fkd stuff up so I get it and I'm not too upset. I just think it changed movies forever and we should be thankful for Disney plus instead of hating on it

i have no problem with them announcing serious projects. It seems to me that Wanda deserves a solo movie. WandaVision and MoM were successful projects. There are still interesting directions to take her character. However it should not be playing second banana to kids. There must be someone who can write a decent story for her.

And I am starting to give up on those YT channels and all the negativity. I mean if you saw a movie and it sucks in one's opinion, they are entitled to that. This whole trying to cancel the MCU because of casting announcements for a movie that hasn't even started filming yet is ridiculous. That’s great news, I like the development approach! I’m pretty sure everyone understands WOKE for what it is. It’s not misunderstood and fans hate it. Fans want to escape into movies not dive into politics.
Fans don't hate politics though. Winter Soldier is possibly the most political entry in the MCU and fans loved it. But we haven't seen the same quality as WS recently. Other than maybe Guardians 3 and its animal rights subtext, which was pretty good. That's the problem.
Films without any sort of message often fall flat, exactly because they have nothing to say. You just get a dumb "muscle man clobbers bad guy" movie with no depth. It's bland and boring. That's how you get Ant-Man 3. It's not woke, but it's also nothing else.
Miss Marvel also comes to mind, although that wasn't really political but rather cultural. The story was baaaad. But the cultural and historical stuff was perfect. It's just that the villains suddenly went from manipulative to aggressive, even though they were slowly winning, and then got an unearned redemption arc. That was bad. But the shows messaging was the one thing I did enjoy.

Ain’t no one paying to see a young avengers movie. It would flop worse than the marvels. Also Haliee Steinfield is currently the same age as Scarlet Johansson was when the Avengers came out. Not sure a 30 year old should be in a young avengers movie.

As long as what we get is good, it doesn’t matter the frequency or lack thereof of shows and movies.
I do think that in the long run, Marvel and the DCEU will be doing team up movies. It may be a decade off. But I can see this coming.

Another good thing about combining several minor characters into a bigger ensemble movie, is it gives that character more time to find an audience. Wolverine was just ONE member of the All-New, All-Different X-men that debuted in Giant Size #1, but his popularity brought him to the fore-front. Ensemble movies are perfect for "testing the waters" of otherwise minor characters. Hope they do it....
I really hope nova happens. Love the approach of picking the best out of whats been developed.

I used to but at some point he stopped focusing on telling a good story and started focusing on our real world politics, I don’t know about you but I have our real world to deal with 24 hours a day 7 days a week, I watch films and TV shows to give myself a small brake from the real world I don’t want to have our real world also rammed down my throat when I’m trying to stop myself from going nuts.

This will be just worse than what we already have. Sure it would give closure to unfinished storylines but I don’t care about those storylines and I don’t want these other characters to derail the movies and steal the spotlight from the actual title character. I come to a Dr Strange movie to watch Dr Strange, not be advertised Disney plus. They used to save this for post credit scenes like Wanda and Pietro at the end of the Winter Soldier. If you’re going to combine many storylines into one then do for an Avengers crossover I don’t want to see the Eternals in Spider-Man 4 for example.
It depends how they combine the characters, AKA the writing. If they are well written so that it makes sense, then they should do well. Say combine the Eternals with Nova perhaps.

Developing as in they’re basically there is speculation, brainstorming ideas, and figuring out how characters and projects contribute to the bigger picture.

The secret to quality control is NOT to throw everything at the wall at see what doesn't suck!
Focus needs to be on choosing content with a clear plan like Phase 1-3 and making THAT content the best it can possibly be. This crap where they "develop" a bunch of IPs that never see the light of day is just going to generate disappointment that outweighs excitement for anything that DOES get made.
Well these projects needs to be quality proof
Hawkey S2, MK S2, Nova, Young Avengers/Champions, Midnight Sons, MS Marvel S2, Ten Rings, Midnight Angels, Strange Academy, Vision Quest, etc

It just sounds like an old TV network where they would order a bunch of "pilot" shows. And then pick up the best "pilots" to become series. Sounds like a good strategy.

The problem with this is that it doesn’t work in an interconnected universe. You could have major points in one of your shows that doesn’t end up getting released that would affect another show.
As long as the stories are good Im here for it.
I know the channel is focus on mcu but will you do updates possibly on tbe DCU? When the first Chapter is starting or going to get started this year.
I’d rather have 3 marvel movies over a span of 5 years than 5 movies in a span of 3.

Messaging is not really a problem Marvel has. It's quality. They can do less messaging or they can do the same amount, but they need better quality.

mostly i think what i like is the failsafe idea for stuff that doesn't get developed officially.
in the event the main developed project notes don't get used, they can move the characters and ideas to other projects and combine them to other spaces and projects where they would.

I hate that people think the problem of the last 2 phases was because “too much content” which is actually false. The problem was making each show connect to the MCU forcing people to watch everything they put out. When the Marvel shows that wasn’t part of the MCU during phase 1 - 3 wasn’t connected and didn’t force you to watch them in all to know what is happening in the MCU. Example Daredevil’s Netflix show isn’t necessary to watch to watch his character in She-Hulk or Spider-Man No Way Home. Also it will be better instead of making new shows/movies like Nova it would be better to see how that character is received by the audience before making a movie/show with those characters.
Sounds like other characters will get the Hulk treatment, which is not getting a sequel or even a movie, but being a part of a another movie.

We do need more Marvel projects but they should focus more on quality and that's what been lacking over the past couple years.
