Trailer Exhibition Golden Boy Gustav Klimt (Van Gogh Museum)

Exhibition 'Golden Boy Gustav Klimt. Inspired by Van Gogh, Rodin, Matisse...' is on view from 7 October 2022 till 8 January 2023.
In the video, Head of Exhibitions Edwin Becker visited Vienna, Austria and shows some highlights that will be featured in the exhibition.
The exhibition at the Van Gogh Museum presents the work of Gustav Klimt alongside those artists who inspired him. This is the first retrospective of Klimt’s oeuvre of this scale to be organised in the Netherlands. The exhibition features iconic highlights from all over the world, such as Judith (1901), Emilie Flöge (1902) and Water Serpents II (1904). These works are displayed together with those of other renowned artists, including Van Gogh, Rodin and Matisse.
Golden Boy Gustav Klimt presents an overview of a staggering career characterised by a thirst for liberty and innovation.

Tentoonstelling 'Golden Boy Gustav Klimt. Inspired by Van Gogh, Rodin, Matisse...' is te zien in het Van Gogh Museum van 7 oktober 2022 t/m 8 januari 2023.
Hoofd Tentoonstellingen Edwin Becker bezocht Wenen en toont in de video enkele hoogtepunten die in de tentoonstelling te zien zullen zij.
De tentoonstelling in het Van Gogh Museum plaatst het werk van Gustav Klimt letterlijk te midden van zijn inspiratiebronnen. Nooit eerder was er in ons land zo’n groots opgezet overzicht van het oeuvre van Klimt te bewonderen met iconische topstukken van over de hele wereld, zoals Judith (1901), Emilie Flöge (1902) en Waterslangen II (1904) in samenhang met werk van andere grootheden zoals Van Gogh, Rodin en Matisse.
Golden Boy Gustav Klimt geeft een overzicht van een duizelingwekkende carrière waarin een hunkering naar vrijheid en vernieuwing centraal staat.
