Michelle's true strength is in her artistry and quite frankly, her artistry was better here than Tara, Irina or Maria. Technically, this was better than the Nationals. Not to mention, she landed that triple-triple combination.

The only judges who scored her accurately were Azerbajan and Russia. 5.8s for technical and 5.9s for artistic for a program with 2 or 3 major errors. What crap reputation judging. The judging was all wrong here. Maria skated better than not only Michelle but Irina as well and was placed only 4th. Fair results were: 1. Tara or Maria 3. Irina 4. Michelle
Maria did not at all skate better than Michelle here. She had inferior choreography and blade control and body positions, and less jump content too. Michelle had a Triple-Triple combination and two Triple Lutzes, so even though they landed the same number of clean Triples, Michelle was still on a higher level. The same goes for Irina in this competition, who was pretty much on the same level as Maria. It could go either way between them for 3rd/4th, maybe Maria had slightly better presentation, although Irina had better spins.

Olga Markova should have finished 2nd (finished 5th), Butyrskaya should have finished 3rd (finished 4th), Slutskaya should have finished 4th (finished 3rd), and Kwan should have finished 5th (finished 2nd). Horrible judging 2-5, finished in exactly the opposite order that they should have.
