That’s not 100 true teyana’s last two albums were great in fact the backlash concerning KTSE was coming from the fact that the original cut gotten rave reviews by both critics and fans and Pusha and Kanye decides to cut it and release a new one without teyana’s acknowledge. Big Sean has been making bomb ass music dating back to his mixtape days so no it has nothing to do with who make better music or not bc there are artists right now that are making above average or straight mediocre music and still popping, it has to do with the fact that Kanye west and Pusha T don’t know how to run a record label and are only good at managing when they are managing themselves

Big Sean had no singles out or NOTHING. But the media stay pushing negativity about Ye. Also I’m seeing people say Kanye didn’t elevate anyone on Good Music. He elevated John Legend; gave him his name, fought to get him a record deal, put him on Alicia Keys - You Don’t Know My Name as a background singer, directed the Ordinary People music video, produced 4 songs on John Legend’s first album and produced other songs on his later albums, he gave John Legend his first feature on Slum Village-Selfish, which Kanye produced and is also featured on. During the College Dropout era, he took John Legend with him during majority of his live performances. He made John Legend a star. He put him on Common- They Say, which Kanye produced and is featured on. He put him on Blame Game on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, the album of the decade according to Billboard and Rolling Stone and also recently ranked 17th on their all time top 500 albums list. Go watch John Legend’s Verzuz battle vs Alicia Keys and see how many times he mentions Kanye and plays songs Kanye produced. Kanye most definitely elevated Big Sean in a major way and paved the way for him with the Graduation album, which opened doors for non-Gangsta rappers. Big Sean wouldn’t be where he is without Kanye. Sean says that all the time. Kanye put him in a Bape campaign back in 08 when Sean had no singles out. Took Sean with him wherever he went between 07-09. When Cudi signed with Kanye, he boosted Cudi and Man on the moon came out on Good Music, Kanye produced “Make Em Say” , “Sky might fall” and is the reason Common narrated that album. Cudi himself said Kanye helped take his career to the next level, go on RUclips and you will see. Kanye kickstarted Pusha T’s solo career by putting him on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on Runaway & So Appalled and then had production on all of Pusha’s solo albums; My Name is My Name (2013) , King Push (2015) and then did the entire production on Daytona (2018) which was arguably hip hop album of the year by most people in hip hop. What Kanye struggled to do was balance his fashion challenges with Yeezy brand back in 2013 with Good Music, that’s why he made Pusha the president. Also Teyana Taylor was signed to Star Trak before Kanye and nothing really happened, Ye boosted Teyana’s career more than Pharrell did. Also Ye was balancing his solo career, good music and building Yeezy brand, something is likely to suffer when you’re doing all those things. But ignore all these facts and keep bashing Ye because it’s the popular thing to do now.

None of these artists are artists enough to do it on their own. And probably wouldn’t get signed to other majors.
I will continue to say this, but Teyana Taylor should’ve been promoted hard after she was dancing in that Kanye West video as a cat lol The buzz was high then and her music is real r&b. Smh he dropped the ball with them all because he had an amazing lineup. Also, the way Pusha went in on Drake, he should’ve been at the top of the charts !!!!!!!
I remember that there were a few artists that people said that they said that if they would’ve signed to Kanye West’s label, then they would’ve been successful. So I wonder where are those people now! And do they think that these same people will be successful since we know what we know now!
Not to sound like Michael Bivens from the New Edition Story, but did they even read their contracts? That goes for Kanye too. Maybe it said that the record label would keep their masters.... Just saying.
Did you ever consider the fact the fact that most of them don’t understand most of the legal jargon that they put into music contracts that the vast majority of people without specific knowledge in that field let alone access to the information. Not to mention the fact that most of them are coming straight from the ghetto and are probably barely making it when they’re in that situation.

15k advance, he should be thanking Kanye for that instead of clowning him. You don't want to sign a big advance because then record companies own you. the bigger the advance you get the higher percentage of your musical earnings you'll have to sign over. for instance instead of doing like an 80-20 or 70-30 split in your favor for the $15k advance on all your musical earnings like streams, sales, concerts, memorabilia, publishing, etc and you get to keep your masters but you have to sign for 3-5 albums.. now say you want that big advance so ok. for that $3 milli advance they'll want like a 70-30 deal in their favor but you might get to keep all your concert earnings, you get to keep your masters (but they'll get those back anyway when you can't pay them back the advance + expenses), and you have to sign to a 5 album deal. so now you owe the label that $3milli advance, 5 albums, they get most of your earnings, and in the end they'll get your masters too. all so you can shine when you first get signed.
How can people continue to be surprised by Kanye's unpredictability, impulsiveness, selfishness, delusion, despondency... his behaviour has made it pretty clear that he suffers from manic and depressive episodes and he rarely gets proper treatment or learns effective ways to minimise the swings. If anybody did it, Kid Cudi made G.O.O.D great. He wrote a lot of 808s and Heartbreak, and M.O.T.M is a classic.
He co wrote 4 songs. That’s not “a lot”
@@DojoMuppet That’s fair. Saying he wrote a lot of the album may be a bit of an exaggeration. But we don’t know how big of a part he played in setting the vibes for different songs on the album, or just how many ideas he contributed in general. And what we do know is that Kanye produced Say you will by himself, Robocop by himself and Bad News by himself and then co-produced every other song on the album, and co-wrote on every song. Also what we do know is that Kanye produced Sky Might Fall and Make Em Say on MOTM and was the reason why Common narrated that album. And what we do know that Cudi in interviews during 09 was saying that Kanye helped him take things to the next level.

You’re woke 👁☀️. Keep ascending
@2020 Vision In the same way there is a feedback loop when we engage in self talk and not a genuine back and forth between two source, the same thing occurs with the Narrative of Self. It’s the story we tell to ourselves about ourselves, subjective rationalization. There appears to be a cosmos and you separate within it, this illusion is what leads to the feedback loop. Non-Duality. I have a short vid on my channel that elaborates. ✌️

wow i didnt even know they left out Cyhi on the Complex cover. They're really tripping hes the most talented rapper on the label. smh
You the truth out here. Kanye just a popular punching bag rn. But oh well
@@thomasnelson5758 Popular punching back for real. One thing about him is that, he’s never been afraid of being criticised and he’s never tried to have a perfect image unlike other celebrities or artists.

Cortez runs young money
Where are all those Young Money artists who never blew up? Tyga had to sue for his money from them. Rick Ross seemed to do "okay," but he only blew up Meek, and maybe Wale.
Ross has been a ghost since meek blew up. Wayne the same since nicki and drake. They litterally sacrificed their careers for their artists. .
@@williamizm3745: Hmm, disagree with both of the points you've made. Lil Wayne's issues with being ghost were mostly to do with Birdman and trying to get Carter V released, and I wouldn't say that Rick Ross didn't chose to make a sacrifice for anyone on MMG (and arguably, didn't really disappear or stop releasing much either).
Recognize none of these people would be mentioned of the past 20 years if it wasn’t for Kanye. Remember what cudi released when he tried doing it on his own outside of good music. Then look at the quality and innovation of kids see ghosts. People expect Kanye to be different than a major label. He has the knowhow and track record just like Atlantic, Warner, interscope etc...
things aren’t perfect, ye’s a busy complicated guy. they knew what they were getting into, all had top notch product to show for it and complain cause they thought it would be different than being with a major. None of these artists are artists enough to do it on their own. And probably wouldn’t get signed to other majors.
Idk about that, pusha was still pusha before ye, maybe big sean and Teyana Taylor
I will continue to say this, but Teyana Taylor should’ve been promoted hard after she was dancing in that Kanye West video as a cat lol The buzz was high then and her music is real r&b.

Why do y’all act like bad label deals is only exclusive to good music?
What about Common he was signed to Good music
Not to sound like Michael Bivens from the New Edition Story, but did they even read their contracts? That goes for Kanye too. Maybe it said that the record label would keep their masters.... Just saying.
I always have that same question...!!
I was taught to never sign a contract until you read the whole thing.
@@VinceroAlpha So then they got to learn to make different moves. Call a lawyer not tied to the label and ask them to read the contract for them.

@Shannon Prince You are thinking from Sean's perspective…..but if you are the Label and this kid has no song, project, or following…..the only thing im betting on is a freestyle he did……15K to make a mixtape and build a following makes sense…..Sean had about 3 mixtapes before he put out his first album….it makes sense to me, aint like he had people bidding for him like a 50 Cent…..of course he would get lowballed. Ya don't remember Kanye being broke at McDonald's with Kim?
Your work ethic bro🔥 salute
