    Cant wait for the Buckleys podcast! Their chats are my favourite part of their vlogs, always such a laugh!❤❤

    This chat resonated with me so much! My kids are the same age as theirs and we have these same conversations. My daughter goes out to meet friends and I drop her off and she messages me when she's ready to come home. She knows that she can message me any time and I'll be there- even if it's less than an hour. She goes to sleepovers and knows she can ring me and ill be there even in the middle of the night. I don't recall my parents being the same. It's the best way x

    Great too see the Buckleys spread their wings but still keeping honest and down to earth couple.
    Great too hear you talk more about kid’s personalities they seem like top boys and love the way you are so protective of them !!!! both long hair working ur probably only parents who like longhair on sons mine hated mine than 30 years later hated skinhead

    I have 7 children that have all had great vocabulary for there ages. People always used to ask me “how I got my children to speak so well from a young age”. I was always baffled and just said… Ive spoken to them properly since they were born. No baby talk or silly names for things, Just spoke to them as I would a friend and I guess it must have worked !!!

    What a cute, cheerful show, loved it, especially the joy of the Friday 4pm. Even if/when they get invited to parties etc on a Friday night, it might be something they want to put into place when they have their own children, ie it’s becoming a family (present/future) tradition
    🥰

    We did the ante natal classes. Still didn’t teach me how to change a nappy - which we realised neither of us could do the minute ours was born.

    No parent should be best friend to their child and vice versa. It blurs the boundaries and from the child’s perspective causes confusion. A parent is a source of unconditional love and support but best friend not.

    • @upendasana7857
      @upendasana7857 Год назад +1

      rubbish.you can still be a friend to your child plus they know you're the parent and that you set down rules and boundaries etc.They sound like great loving parents who enjoy their own childrens company and hanging out together.As he said they make sure their children know they are there for them unconditionally to share anything that might be on their mind.
      Nothing wrong with these as parents and plenty of other children who don't feel they can even speak or share things with their parents or feel loved in the way these two obviously love their kids and are engaged in their lives.

    They sound like great parents and a happy family,sadly think they are not typical of many families in how engaged they are and communicate so openly.Communication has to be the most important thing in any family and they sound like they have that in spades.Lovely couple and parents.

    The points about how dads are more soft today was interesting - james, while being far from average or typical is such an average modern 30/60 kinda guy - the influences of the vibes of the eighties and nineties are there, the "booze, pretty girls, video games & kebabs" lifestyle is alive & kicking in him & the only surface level & very obvious difference in him compared to the same kind of guy from previous generations is he has absorbed that you do not have to be a traditionally aggressive male & his relationship with his kids demonstrates that very well. For all the people crying "Woke" when it comes to this kind of subject James is the perfect example of a man who retains the fun of being a "geeza" but is also sensitive, loving and a friend to his sons. it really does not rob men of their masculinity with regards to the demands made of us as a sex in 2023 - just dont be a wanker - that's all!
