Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This has been a slowly building disaster and the lights have been flashing on it brighter with each passing week. If you're deep into this clunker don't let inertia and sunk cost fallacies guide your present day decisions. This stock at this price still has high downside risk.

U are not comparing apples to apples correctly. The biggest factor is interest rates. Go check what the auto loans were then and now. According to U.S. News, the average interest rates for auto loans in February 2024 are:
Good credit
12.52% for new car loans, 12.77% for used car loans, and 9.13% for refinance car loans
Fair credit
16.86% for new car loans, 17.11% for used car loans, and 10.08% for refinance car loans
Bad credit
22.01% for new car loans, 22.26% for used car loans, and 12.53% for refinance car loans

Go check where consumer debt levels are at. Sentiment doesn't matter when people can't afford to buy at high interest levels. Why do think Kathy Wood in her infinite wisdom(not) was trying to tell everyone we were in a deflationary spiral. She very well knew what high interest rates was gonna do to her beloved musk's Tesla.
