  • In this video I show you guys the first stage of my widebody fender flare bolt on conversion to allow for wider wheels and tires. I did this because the 3M tape that comes with the kit didn't stick and I lost pieces. Determined, I had to think of another way. I wound up fusing two methods I learned on youtube from @LowLifeMods @mango3ninety2 (thanks bros for the idea!) . Here I show you how I make my fender cuts, how I prepared the bolts on the fender flares, and what I did to retain the stock wheel well. Feel free to comment with any questions I'd be happy to answer. Follow me on IG @_hellcatjay_ and subscribe and turn on notifications here on youtube! thanks.

what’s up bro i was just about to do my kit everybody was self tapping on the brackets and just putting the flare on with 3m tape but after seeing this this is genius!! jb welding those elevator bolts and putting them into the actual fender is a game changer! definitely going to be going that route definitely going to be more sturdy and secure as i also have a hellcat and they are much lower then scats or rts

I recognize that technique 😂👌👏. It's the best way man. I've had 0 issues with my install. I've taken my flares off and put back on a few different times. If you got Instagram send me a message and I can coach you with some pointers in voice messages

I have a kit off eBay (Ikon Motorsport) and I didn’t have to cut car at all! Now I love the elevator bolt idea! I do run the Hellcat V2 wheels. 305 30 20 all around 20x11 with -2.5 offset. No rubbing at all!

Yep I got the same offset it works well .

Great video, I just lost one of my flares😢. On the elevator bolts what length did you use? Did you use washers?, How long did you let the jb weld cure before installing?

I believe the length was 1 inch . Yes washers were essential. I let the job weld cute overnight

What about the rears? I’ve heard you can’t bolt them up this way due to not having access to the bolts inside the fender

If you look at my video after this one, it shows what I did, I basically only did the Bolton conversion to the bottom portion of the widebody fender flare

Mistake #1 running flush fitment without proper suspension to prevent rubbing.

Clearly your statement implies that you don’t own a challenger hellcat . 1. OEM widebody challengers have different front quarter panels that accommodate the wider wheels . So it is imperative that you cut a standard hellcats fenders to accommodate wider wheels . 2. Along with the vicrez widebody fender flare kit I got the vicrez widebody wheels which have a -2.5 offset which just so happens to be perfect with the kit.
Point is, no mistakes were made . I’m happy with my fitment and get nothing but compliments and comments saying “ that’s not a factory widebody ?”.
You sir are just a hater .

      @@hellcatjay89 1) I’m a Vicrez Dealer
      2) I’ve been a part of over 7k fitment builds including countless widebodies.
I’m not hating. I’m pointing out that the 3M tape can be a durable option when you aren’t smacking the flares with your massive tires.

@@nathanielfuentes5294 i hear you. i just don't like running super thin tires.
