@@jasminepreston81 Exactly! There's nothing wrong with wanting your child to get ahead but the way Melissa went about it was sneaky and fucked up and that's what the moms didn't like. The moms called her out on this numerous times as well as her ex husband and it didn't help that she and Abby had a codependent relationship with Maddie being the golden goose in the middle of it all.

True but Maddie got more time practicing in the Acro class, so Melissa could have told Abby to let the other girls have more time to practice.

I feel like they were trying to complain as a friend. Like you might complain to you friend about something, but you don’t mean for them to fix it. Kelly Christi and holly were all complaining about it to each other but they didn’t expect each other to go down and fix it
Bloombaby99 just because she works there doesn’t mean she scheduled the classes. It could of been anyone who worked there if not it could have been Abby herself
It wasn't just about the acro class. It was Paige didn't have her solo music and Melissa was working on getting it downloaded and everything and they were coming at her like she told Abby to make her daughter a priority.
Melissa was so annoying. She couldn’t be there for their other children like Holly and Christy. Her crying to Abby is such a kid like tactic. Can she not be entitled for one second in the damn show?
It doesn't help that Abby enables her. They both have a codependent relationship and Maddie is the "golden child" stuck in the middle of two, selfish, greedy adults.

Nebula Vontage it’s not just Maddie that gets privates, Kenzie gets them too. And it’s good to take more time on your solo, duo or trio because it makes you a better dancer.

If the moms cared so much about Maddie getting a private why wouldn’t they just book their own.
Kay Because they can’t. There’s only so many dance teachers and so much time in a day. You have to realize Abby has a ton of students and those students get privates and lessons. The other moms are mad because Abby specially made room for Maddie to have a private but not the other girls.
It’s more than just that. Maddie is home schooled and the moms always complain because their kids are doing what typical kids do and lose out because of it
abby gives it to maddie and they aren’t allowed to have them unless there is teachers available witch is rare.

Ok, well of course Maddie got extra training. That's because she wanted to. A lot of the times I knew the other moms clearly had a huge problem with Maddie but it's like, she's a kid who wants to dance
The problem was NEVER Maddie but it was Abby's favoritism of Maddie and Melissa's entitled, stuck up attitude that drove everyone crazy.
Melissa worked there and was in charge of the scheduling and all the private sessions were extremely limited and they went to Maddie which is why the moms were so pissed. That and in this clip, the girls weren't rehearsing like they were supposed to.
Thank you. Maddie was more passionate about dancing and was obviously very good at it. The other kids ( maybe not all ) would rather do other things or hang out with friends but Maddie wanted to perfect her dancing and that’s why Melissa worked to pay for private lessons.
The moms weren’t jealous of Maddie. They didn’t like how Abby treated their children
I don't understand, these mom's have to pay a tuition for the aldc and yet they still do a bunch of work at the academy? Aren't there actual employees there? Like hire an intern to do all of this busy work or something.
It's not about Maddie being a good dancer, it's about the treatment they receive from abby

I think the moms were all in denial because there kids didn’t always do the correct way as abby wanted to. I had a dance teacher like abby and it taught me to be the best dancer by her correcting me the way she did.. if they didn’t like it then go to another studio period

The first season is so different to any other season
I don't understand why they were so shocked by Maddie constantly getting time and getting better. (That being said I dont agree with Abbys mental or emotional abuse. No kid ever got better at math or reading by being called dumb or a sneak) anyway, Maddie's life was dance, she had no problem with it. She wasn't interested in school or playing with other kids she wanted to dance and dance and dance. Maddie wanted dance as a CAREER, Brooke, Nia, Paige and Chloe didn't.

The only reason why Maddie was a good dancer because she has a private every day for one hour got the best choreography and had plenty of times, while the other girls didn’t get those things Maddie didn’t have to work to get good choreography because Abby gave it to her
