Glad to be back with the real. a little time off from music etc. but back in the saddle again. Yup a shot of humor and reality is doing me good. You two just keep on keeping on okay . Love and humor and good music is good medicine for us all. And you two are funny folks with a lot of love poring out all over the place. Amen! CK
Oohhh man I saw the word roadrunner and Bobby behind the wheel and thought oh boy this is gonna be good thinking ol Bobby got a hot rod roadrunner car from back in the 70s and he’s was gonna be banging gears and smokin the tires redlining the engine ! Whew wee had me little worried but not that worried cause I gotta a feeling ol Bobby still got it in em to raise a little hell on the open hiway ! Anyways awesome always to hear Bobby singing with CoCo backup ! Thanks for the post Love youguys Scotty Kansas City
Oh yeah. Soundin good. So many great covers through the years of that classic Keep on keepin on🤠 I ain't been out ozona away in years on 10. used to be a little old truck stop called The circle ranch and it had a really cool car museum nearby I don't know if the car museum is still there or not.
Gosh Bobby your voice still sounds GREAT. Looks like you are just having a blast on the open highway. looks like a lovely day out there. and nothing is wrong . right on road runner. Stay safe and healthy.. Mike in phx, Az.
Great singing Bobby! You should check out the ex Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist and singer Steve Gaines (died in the 1977 plane crash) singing and playing this song with his band Crawdad in the 1970s. The bootleg CD is on RUclips and is named “Crawdad - Okie Special”. Roadrunner is the first song that they play on that bootleg. been listening and really liking the California Gold songs. Id like to hear you talk some more about Macon, Capricorn, hanging w/ Dru Lombar, Toy, Dickey and other musicians there. The song "Movin On" is as good a song as Ive ever heard!
Addendum: the live version of Little Wing from the Filmore East '70 concert is a little different of course (without Duane) than the studio version. I like it even better! Your voices are more distinct. I play it every night! Just superb. Wish I had a time machine. ;>)
Happy to hear Bobby sing again. Always has been and is a wonderful, soulful voice. Question is in the day to day of life how often does this come up? That scenery looks desolate and hot. Thanks for sharing with us out here again.
Hello Mr. Whitlock! New subscriber. Just bought Layla CD. Love your Little Wing version even more- simply terrific! Question- have you and Eric ever visited Mr. Gordon in prison? Or thought about it?
I DL the California Gold album and played it 3 times over the weekend. Glad that came out and it sounds like you just made that music. I hope you do some reflecting on it all soon.
I was wondering if Bobby could speak about his solo work on Capricorn Records, what it was like working for the label. What were Fenter and Walden like? I've watched about 50 videos or so on the channel and haven't seen much about the subject. I did see the one where Bobby talked about the label always having barbeques and and plenty of booze, but other than that...Maybe I haven't watched the right videos yet, so forgive me if this subject has been broached before. Thanks, the channel is a great source of solace.
Bobby got a question...how did it work in those days for musicians playing on other friends albums...did they get paid? Was it a friendly favor...and the main question did Duane Allman get paid for any of it? (Layla album) and of course your thoughts on this subject
We just played Comin' home with a 11 piece band...derek and D&B were such cool and inspiring acts! And a s a drummer Im such a big Jim Gordon fan! Any plans on playing europe?
SANG it Bobby! Great video (hi CoCo!) On a side note, I lived next to a cool little artsy town named Ozona on the west coast of Florida right on the Gulf for a while. How many states have towns named Ozona?!

The more I see you Bobby, the more I think you and Al Pacino are the same person. He’s playing you and you’re playing him. 😀 Enjoy the road 👍
