What an amazing documentary. Abbie you nailed it, congratulations. I'm going to do this in June 2025. Sure, I'm going to make mistakes along the way. But it's going to be a journey into the unknown. I just can't wait. I visited isle of Arran in August 2024, fell in love with the place. Wow! You are amazing 👏
Thanks for this Abbie. I'm watching on Christmas day before lunch as I have done the past few years. You're being true to what hiking can be, getting lost, replanning but ultimately pushing through and discovering it was all worth while
Oh my, there were some bloopers in this one! the trekking poles in the stream, the goop on the trig point. Thank you for a laugh! Loved the film, and I don't think trading a campsite for a wild camp is cheating in any way at all. It's not really being as rugged as possible; it's making the most of the journey, which you always do. Looking forward to the next one!
A fantastic production Abbie thanks for posting it. I been to Arran a few times over the years and never tire of it. One of my first visits was in the 90s. Once when descending Goat Fell i slipped on a wet slab of rock and hurt my left wrist. When I reached the car park there was a lady and her young daughter there having problems starting her car. I offered to help and repaired a broken wire using only my right hand. Driving my car was worse with a gear stick on my left I had to use my right hand for gear changing. It was an interesting drive via the ferry back to Newcastle. 0:140:14
Another triumph! Just what I needed as been ill in bed over Christmas. The beautiful scenery and your great commentary cheered me up! I love Arran and now want to return soon! Thank you!
Way to go Abbie! I love Arran but have walked little there. I’m going to add this walk to my to-do list. In the meantime, thank you for helping us feel we’re walking alongside you and your courage and tenacity continue to be an inspiration 😊 I hope you’re having a well-deserved and relaxing Christmas Day ❤️
Congratulations, this is wonderful Abbie. Brought back lots of great memories when we were there in 2023. Such a beautiful Island . We laughed so hard when you went past the golf course , think it might have been my partners golf ball. The golf course holds great memories for me as I beat my husband the first time ever there. As I said fantastic video . Bring on more adventures for you in 2025.
A great summary of the path! I did some hillwalking in Arran 2 years ago, where I used some of the coastal path and I had the same challenges as you. I was thinking of going back in 2025 to do the coastal path, but I think I'll do something different on the island instead!
Lol! Abbie, you are the luckiest hiker in the world. Drops a camera in the sea on another hike and finds a scuba diver who finds it. Then, drops a walking pole into a river right when a kayaker is floating by... 😂 You should buy a lottery ticket! Your luck and timing are pretty awesome. 🥰 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!
Really loved sitting here and watching this this morning, thank you Abbie 🙏🏻😊 Another lovely video to add to my saved ones that Inlike to have running in the background, keeping me company during the day 😊 I'd just like to ask, please, what brand / design are your walking sticks? They look super sturdy 😄
Thanks, Abbie, this one is on my doorstep but unfortunately, I still don't have the strength back in my legs. I was looking at mobility scooters 4 years ago due to chronic pain but after using cannabis for my pain I have now started to build up muscle again. Hopefully, one day soon I will be able to do Arran. Thanks for the motivation your West Highland Way video helped me to even start looking for something to help improve my health
Thank yoy Abbie. It is hard enough to walk in the rain but filming in the rain must be tough! One of my favorite places to hike is the Wallowa Mountains in Oregon in the US
Thank you so much Abbie for this lovely video on Christmas Eve.Will definitely watch it later tonight 🎉.Also looking forward to your epic Snowdonia Slate Trail as well in the future.Happy Christmas to you and your family 🎉
Thanks Abbie...another cool adventure! Wishing you the best for your surgery ✌ But why would you smell your hand after putting it in seabird poo?....bad move 🤣
Thank you so much for this amazing video! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I did some of this a few years ago and some parts were a nightmare...ie...no path at all just rocky beaches and we had to bail and head up the steep slope up to the road...The coastal path has not been done properly...it comes n goes all the time especially at Dippen Head area...its just huge rocks...actually quite dodgy to walk through. I didn't see many Arran Coastal path signs either...disappointing as the scenery is amazing.
For your information the Busses on Arran have to run in time with the boats if a bus is late then 99% of the time it’s because the boat is late, if you get stressed out by a delay of 25 mins then Island life is not for you.
I agree that we all evolved in nature, and were (and are still) dependant on it. Men have been the ones at war with nature. You don't see very many women hunting things to extinction, or cutting down trees til there are no more. Men are waking up, but hopefully it's not too late.
You obviously have not seen somebody hit on the head and carted away unconscious in an Ambulance if you think warning the public that wondering aimlessly about a golf course is a dangerous pursuit is something to be derisory about!

So far, I'd say heading up Glen Rosa to the Saddle and down into Glen Sannox valley was pretty cool.

I think you are seriously lacking a sense of humour.
If you call that humour , words fail me good bye
