My first car, bought at 80,000 km pushed it to 310,000 km before selling off. That NA' engine is amazing!

Nice, did you notice any oil consumption and if so how much every oil change?

    • @BoazTukahirwa

@@antgeorg yes it happened. There is a time I had to replace the top engine portion that has the combustion system and camshafts.
But all in all, you can replace anything in the engine compartment and this car gets alive and strong as new.

Thanks for the answer,I have also read in forums that this engine is really bulletproof!

Test Drive Freak, You're Fantastic! These are the best Reviews!! If you can also find a Golf 4 1.9 TDI 150 hp. When I was younger it was my favorite car.

    Had four of them:
With 18, my first car, 1.6l 100hp, gearbox damage . Then a 1.8l turbo with the small k03 turbo 150ps, stage 1 to 200hp, solid but sold it cuz I needed more. Then a 245hp with a k03s and finally one with a Garrett GT28 with 290hp. The latter was ruined by an old woman on the German Autobahn. Had all of them between 2005-2009.

That's actually pretty rare car - 2.0 engine on Golf mk4 in 2003 is not often found.

It was still available in Brazil for many years after that, it only got discontinued on the Golf mk4.5 in 2013, but lived on the Jetta mk6 for a couple of years more.

It’s beyond me as well, the easiest guess is that it might have to do with emissions - which it still doesn’t make sense - since the 1.8t lived for many more years and this 2.0 NA was released way before in the mk3 golf.
