Agree with the corded version as the best option.

Agree, I don't like changing batteries all the time.

Wondering if you can help I have purchased an ROS and I have only used it a couple of times and am struggling with it, when I trun it on it seems to have a mind of its own and goes all over the place, what am I doing wrong, I see people using them all the time on RUclips and I'm getting frustrated.
    Thanks

it should be easy to use and they do tend to have a mind of their own, but they are very easy to control. You can easily remove the sanding plate and see if the band on the bottom as slipped off or broke, if it did, that would cause it to be unruly. Good Luck with it.

When you use a random orbital sander, you should not push down. Let the weight
of the sander do the work. Pushing down on the sander slows it down, & the motor gets hot!

That is very True CJ Phillips. But after an hour or so of sanding, I do start pushing down, I am guilty of that. However, most sanding test that I have seen of these sanders, do use some additional weight on the sander for that test. If you only relied on the weight of the Porter-Cable or the Ridgid sander you would be there longer than on the others, they are a lot lighter.

Rockler sells an adaptor kit so you can attach your vac hose to any sander!🥸

Very True CJ Phillips, and that is way better than the little bag they come with. I do have that adaptor kit and it does work good, mostly by a friction fit.
