Ichikawa Is dense romance MC done well. He is afraid he might be wrong about yamadas feelings for him and I'm not at all annoyed at him for thinking like that. His concerns are realistic and sympathetic. One of the best romance MC ever
The thing is he is far from being Dense Romance MC, you should've noticed that him not noticing the signs yamada always emits is because of him having deprived of confidence with the challenges he faced before entering his middle school. He did fulfill and keep improving as episodes goes through....
The VAs for Yamada's friend were going all out this episode!!! These two are way too cute!!! Sister out there for the win with some good advice on not letting things go and to make things happen if you want them to happen.
Moeko was voiced by Megumi Han, the same VA for Kana Arima (Oshi no Ko), Gon (Hunter x Hunter) younger version of Obito (Naruto Shippuden), Meimei (The Apothecary Diaries). Serina was voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki, the same VA for Anya (Spy x Family), Frieren (Frieren), Chise (The Ancient Magus Bride), Lady Gyokuyou (The Apothecary Diaries), Sajuna (My Dress-up Darling), Rio (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai)
@KebusuNiisan thanks! ^.^ I usually pay little attention to who is the VA of a character until the series is done so that way I don't make links to their other work, not complaining. I think the only VA that I always recognize is Takehito Koyasu (Roswal Re-Zero, Clayman Slime, etc) cause it's such an unique voice. Although some of his roles like Pesche Gautiche are very different. But whenever he does the slow, arrogant, self-center voice I zone in on it right away.
Actually the sister's advice at the end was almost telling him not to pursue Yamada but it was said in a roundabout way which Ichikawa understood which is why he clapped back quickly that his feelings wont change, she was trying to protect him which spurred him being more honest about how he feels :))

She then said, take it easy, it's not like this will be the only girl you ever like. After he confirmed he did like her, she said that he shouldn't worry too much about getting the sure/perfect chance, but instead persue his goals/dreams while he can. I was referring to the second part.
I really enjoy this season's theme of stopping lying to others and yourself/growing as a person, because they are necessary to love others and yourself.
Yup. Been there too. His mind keeps pulling him away from disappointment. The self-preservation feeling could be overpowering. The whole chocolate thing for valentine is supposed to be for girls to think about. Since he was invited to her house see what happens behind the curtain, it is not impossible that Yamada might have invited him because she doesnt think of him as a "man", but just another friend, but then... so many things happened before that his mind also asks him the question "were all of those past situations something friends were supposed to do? or... could it be possible that she actually considers you as something more special than a friend?". This is all too real and hits home. Being afraid is sooooo common, social pressure could be a b1tch. Stars have to align for these kind of stories to happen and I am so in for it lol
so much progress in this episode, my guy manned up and faced the parents, admitted his feelings to his sister, and told his girl "dont give them m*f*s any chocolate!" my guys becoming a man PREDICTION: i think Yamada's gonna confess first, i read something that said she does but idk
Our Short King got her friends' approval (Except Kobayashi, she's too dense) and he's about to secure the father's blessings, as well when YamaDad plans to share his gaming ID to him.
My weekly dose of sugar never failed to bringing smile to my face every week! And Kobayashi really oblivious about the whole thing lmao. Usually the densest one in romcom is the MC or/and FMC but this one is side character lol tho it's funny so it doesn't really matter.

Ichikawa is really similar to her dad. Both are gloomy and seem unapproachable at first but are actually sweethearts under the surface.
