Hey Andrew, if you’re already familiar with what you can do with an Apple TV, then do a RUclips search for Apple TV 12 volt. The procedure is a little different for each different version of Apple TV but there are already videos published that do walk through on the 12V conversion. Long story short, computers and electronics simply do not work on 240V so they all have power supplies or step down circuits that end up delivering lower voltages to the electronics. (Typically 12V, 5V and 3V) so it is true of many electronics that if you can identify the point at which the circuitry drops to 12V, then you can simply input 12V at that point and the device will function normally. If you find one of the existing video tutorials that match your Apple TV model, then you can do the conversion quite easily 👍
Craig you mentioned you dont have free to air on the TV or a arial, your not streaming free to air though are you? e.g local tv and news etc are you? your only getting Apple TV and FOX etc correct like i do with me Telstra TV box for Kayo and netflix etc?
Hi Nicholas, the major free to air stations (7,9,10,ABC,SBS) all have streaming apps. We are an Apple household so we have an Apple TV attached to the back of our 12V TV in the van. Apple TV can download the free to air apps from the App Store and then (provided we have an internet connection) we can stream free to air via the Apple TV 👍
