Even if people are shocked that you guys like it because everyone has to have the same tastes on the internet I think it's awesome you guys love it.
I personally liked the first tmnt , I went in with low expectations, but found it fun. I think people heavily exaggerate when they say it was a terrible movie. I mean what did people expect , a Oscar winning movie?
Anyways this movie looks also fun.
If they are targeting every age I think they failed. honestly I think they are going for the adults who used to watch the cartoons.
I wish the movie was better... i was just... so bored.

honestly, I saw several videos on that first turtles movie. I hated everything I saw. I thought you were insane for saying you saw it and liked it.
That said....yes my inner-self was having the exact same reaction through out this trailer. As much as it kills me to say this....I think this film looks awesome.
Just remember trailers can be deceiving. Man of Steel had pretty amazing trailers. Too bad the movie was the complete opposite

Didnt watch the first one didnt seem like my bag...BUT.. This seems to actually be what i wanted it to be. Just a silly cartoon idea in live action. Turtle vans, music appropriate to the era. CHEESE IT UP! EXTRA CHEESE ON THE PIZZA! lol

The trailer was well made. But again, my main issue is with April O'Neil. I really wished they went with someone else. That and the Turtles backstory in the first.
***** And while there is nothing wrong with that, I'd have to say it wasn't executed well. Her acting wasn't very convincing and I wasn't a fan of her backstory and if I had to simply judge, she just doesn't look/behave like April O'Neil to me.
***** I understand that she would be different. I just think that the version they created wasn't very good or at least the actress they chose was not a wise decision.
If the character was the same but they had a different and more emotive actress, I would be less dissatisfied. At least in my opinion. ^_^
***** I don't watch New Girl so I can't comment on that so I'll take your word for it. But for Ninja Turtles, I'll have to continue to disagree.
She just didn't seem very believable to me and I was hyper aware that she was Megan Fox trying to be April O'Neil.
As opposed to when watching Iron Man I see Tony Stark or watching Johnny Depp in any of his roles you don't "see" Johnny Depp being Jack Sparrow. You only see Jack Sparrow.
And she kind of has this almost eternal model face/expression, it's a bit stiff.
***** What I'm saying is that it's easy to look past the actor to see the character they are playing but not with Megan Fox in Ninja Turtles. And it's not as if I'm comparing her April O'Neil with a previous live-action one.
***** Oh, she does? I have heard the show is good. Maybe I'll see it one day. Though I have quite the backlog so I don't know when I would get around to seeing it.
Maybe she was more invested in her role in the tv show than her role in Ninja Turtles.
