It always amazes me how these past speeches are still so applicable to our day and time. Truth never gets old and is needed now more than ever! Thanks for sharing this wonderful talk!
Wow. Really needed to hear these things! These older talks are so amazing. I love the doctrine. I love the seriousness (yes, a small bit of joking here and there) and the urgency and the human-ness. Also, I love the humility. I was listening to a talk by Neal A Maxwell the other day where he spoke about a personal covenant he'd made with the Lord that he was still working on trying to keep and I so appreciate he admitted that b/c it makes me feel that even apostles struggle on keeping their promises to the Lord and that I shouldn't be so down on myself when I struggle also. Hearing genuine humility in the words of our leaders really connects with me; it's why I love so many of the ancient prophets--their willingness to share their shortcomings.
Indeed a great lesson to me, I'm I praying with a real intend? Or just praying and reading to tick the box...I have to rely on the whole ghost to teach me and search the scriptures and pray with a sincere heart. Thank you very much for this talk ❤
