When I see this, I think, poor Tarja, she doesn't know what's coming, how much pain she has to go through, even Tuomas. And only because of a stupid letter and the inability to communicate. However, Tuomas captured it well in Master Passion Greed, in the last verse: "With awakening the tears will begin That my eternal shame silence took me" As you said, the future is bright. Both Tarja and Nightwish still perform, albeit with scars in their hearts, as they both admitted. He was accepted into the Lakota community, and they don't let just anyone in. Still, it seems to me that he has promoted himself and greatly profited by the slim slice of Native heritage that he has. I guess I don't feel I have any right to judge the man on that score.

If I recall correctly he is not enrolled, and many Lakota members were irritated by him (e.g. asking language lessons and not being willing to pay for it, appearing at public events and making sure to have his photo taken with the well-known Lakotas, selling ceremonies that do not even exist in Lakota culture). Not to mention that he has changed his story several times during his career as a Native American.

Totally agree with your comments on once. Once is my second favourite NW album after imaginaerum. Angels fall first, very good for a start. Oceanborne, better. Wishmaster does nothing for me. Century Child, Tuomas and the band really motoring. Once yes yes yes yes!
I think you should check out Everdream from this same concert. Toumas gets very upset at the beginning of the song. It is rumored that he wrote it about Tarja.
Tarja was given the letter after this concert the published copy went out then and was maybe not the best way to do it in retrospect. However, Tarja and the band had been fight for awhile. What's interesting is the looks that the band were giving her during the songs.

Tarja in NW was wonderful. In recent performances she still ‘has it’ and looks very happy. But, without ‘end of an era’ there would be no Imaginaerum, no ‘Poet and the Pendulum’ and no Floor fronting Nightwish. Can’t change history and, overall, things seem to have turned out well. So glad Marko and Tarja performing together again: time heals. Markos it’s her or me and Tuomas, Emmpu, Jukka’s unanimous, Bye bye Beautiful, is water under the bridge.

Insn’t the extra guy the Indian joining in on ‘creek Mary’s blood’. Tuomas thought ‘creek mary’ was one of two ‘epics’ on Once the other being GLS. Creek Mary, is, indeed, an epic and very much underplayed.
I feel like the first time Nightwish ended, was when Tarja left. New era begun with Floor, she was awesome and still is. But now, the final blow, when Marco's departure. It is over for good. :(

Looking at the audience, I fondly remember these times - look at the amount of black dyed hair! Pretty much no Finn has deep black hair naturally.

I think this is my favourite version of this song, and having Oliver there made the final section more bearable!
