Thank you, I've been using many Matrix toners but I was a bit confused about the alkaline toner line. Now I know what full bodied means. I see most shades are like that, but apparently 8V and 10P are just pure violet/pearl, I left them to oxidize in the bowl for hours and there's no beige/brown to be found.
That is EXACTLY my question. I purchased the one that she is describing for level 6 that the box says 6-8 only for a client that is a level 8 hlt. She has naturally level 5 we do grey coverage to 7 and simple bleach highlight every other time to level 8 but she always turned golden which looks good but would be better toned down. I thought the ash and clear would work great so I purchased it just yesterday. Now she has me nervous.
It would depend on what you’re starting with and what you’re trying to accomplish. Are you asking what tonality to use or what technology? And what result are you looking for?
@@deedoeshair the acidic. If you’re looking for a level 7 could you mix a level 8 with the 6 to create 7? Or is mixing the two not doable in general like you started?
Not sure if you caught her explanation or not but these toners are designed to be translucent either like wax paper or saran wrap or as some people like to think pantyhose that you can see through. SoColor is considered like opaque pantyhose that you can't see through. Hope that helps.
Hi there! So there isn’t just one formula that I could rattle off that would make this happen. Anytime a color correction is happening, it’s always different. If you’re looking for assistance with steps and the journey from black to a silver gray, we can discuss that, or if you’re just looking for silver formulas? Let me know! 🖤
Great question! So go back color theory....we know that green neutralizes red and vice versa. So if I’m at a level 9 green, I would tone with a level 9 red which would be pink at that level. Basically you just need to neutralize with the complementary color you normally would, just take into consideration the level has a lot to do with the tonality and dye load in that shade. Did that make sense?
I don't think she was very clear on that either. I don't think so, I think they are completely different products for different applications choices. I understood the 5 min toner as a quick fix at the shampoo bowl and the other toners more as optional colors to have fun being artist with.
Love this educator. Very simplified and thorough

What do we use to tone on level 7 and 8 clients

Are there still black boxes or was there a package change?
With matrix toner anti brass what ossidation I have to use?
I have 8AA if people have level 9 but really gold. If I use level 8AA what is will happen? Or when can I use level 8AA tone?
Will the brunette series cover grey. I'm doing a balayage with a root shadow on a client who has a little bit of regrowth with some grey .

What is a good Formula to go from Black to silver gray hair with this Matrix system?

what kind of toner would you suggest for slightly green tinted hair? (Level 9+)

@@deedoeshair Yes! Thank you very much for your answer! :D

How do you use the five minute toner and the new toner such as sheer steal etc. Do you use both of them?
