Just because both companies make 1/4 diffusion filter doesn't mean they create the same look. Some 1/4 filters are stronger than others. The quality of glass can also be different. Color cast is also something that can affect the final image. What I'm getting at is you shouldn't buy filters based on their price but rather how pleasing the final image is to you.
