    Man I hate sparring with headgear. I get headaches easier when I do. I'd rather chance a bruise than chance a headache. Thanks for your review, you're a go to.

    Great review man. I got this one for my son and I s/m and l/xl but in red in black. That one is not glossy like the one you have. It's more matte and I prefer that. The only thing that bothers me is the chin buckle that doesn't seem to be well positioned. But maybe I have a weird face 😭

      @@AngelTovar Only ended up using it twice because we have been doing body and shoulder sparring, but it is more comfortable than the Title ones I used before which seem more bulky. I like it better than the other head gear I tried and it is nice that you can leave the strings in the position you like, but it is nice doing body and shoulder sparring and not having to use headgear.

    How does the Ringsize Apex compare to the Phenom Elite SGH-250 in size?
    I personally only need the headgear for the occasionally heads clashing together in the clinch, and some of the eventual cuts from gloves. Other than that, I’m better off without headgear to be honest. At least if it’s a bit bulky. I Still love my phenoms, but would love to try something thinner and more compact.

    • @CaptainAF07
      @CaptainAF07 2 года назад +1

      Mexican gloves are always overweight, it’s one of the things with Mexican gloves since most of them use very thick leather which usually adds weight. I have 2 pairs of Cletos and both are 2 ounces over but I love them. If you look any reviews about any Mexican gloves online you will see that Cleto Reyes is not the only Mexican brand with that issue

    the buckle under the chin is one of the most important features to me because years ago, i tried out some cleto reyes head gear. the chin strap buckle was solid metal... like you would find on a belt buckle. it was extremely uncomfortable and anyone unfortunate enough to take a shot in that area would be in some serious pain! anyways, in head gear, i look for something lightweight, no vision obstruction, the headgear stays in place, and comfort. I feel i'm always stuck buying Winning because despite the price, most products they make are of the best quality. some of their stuff is either overpriced and or total crap. their lace replacements are obscenely expensive, i saw the review of their quick wraps and i didn't need to buy those to see they were total garbage.
