awesome
It am truly impressed with the work you do on a garage floor. Seeing the final product you would think you had a complete wood shop . Great job great videos
Saying goodbye to a model railway what an extraordinary idea for video. Keep up the great work.
Outstanding video of your shipping crate build!! I am impressed by your figure-it-out as you go approach on such a complex project. The completed packaging and documentation looked amazing. I never would have imagined shipping that layout for out of the box operation was even possible. Looking forward to your On30 and O gauge switching layouts.
Safety first! Perfect job 🛠️🤩👍👍👍
You did a great job of packing it up, could you imagine keeping every layout you have built you need a bigger house
Yep!
Very impressive, Steve! There's a part of me that wishes I could afford you, but then I wouldn't have the fun of building my own layout!
That was very awesome to see how you made the box and what you did to protect it in shipping. Thanks for sharing it with us.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Very impressive. And cool to see the process.
Wow ... Who ever bought this got enough foam to start another layout!!! 🤣 ...... Shipping cost .... $998.99 US Dollars 😳
This is true!
Oh no, now you need to build another one!!
Great video - very useful for anyone moving house too.
Very nice 👍🏻
What layouts next on your list? I’m looking at starting one based on the MRR Salt lake route.
I've always wanted to build a version of that. I'm finishing up my 1x5 N scale switching layout, finishing the little On30 layout, and starting my O gauge switching layout in the coming weeks/months. Then it will be another medium sized N scale layout (maybe door sized?) not sure exactly on that. But I've also been toying with a very small HO layout project too.
So now you need a follow up on how well it actually shipped. Did it arrive in one piece at the final destination? Which carrier did you (they) use? Hot shot service or commercial freight line?
It did arrive ok luckily! Pickup and delivery were a business day late (they had a truck liftgate issue on pickup day) but otherwise shipping went ok. I used Shiply to get quotes and picked LTL shipping out of the dozen quotes I had. Not the cheapest option but the lowest cost carrier that had good reviews.
Kind of had to build a layout just to ship the layout.
I hope this isn't the end of your channel.
No, almost all layouts I build are for other people and shipped out afterwards. However, some I keep for quite a while if they aren’t built for another person right from the start. Lots more projects upcoming. I can’t keep them all anyways since I don’t have the space.
@@StevesTrains Can you make a layout where everything makes sounds? Being blind, I enjoy almost anything that makes sounds. I probably won't buy it, but it would be fun to listen to everything going on in the videos you make of it.
Cool mate...where do we find your prices, please?
Hi Steve - What company did you use for shipping??
Shiply to get quotes and then LTL shipping.
