Hello I’m also Uopeople 1st college student. The deadline for Discussion Forum Unit 1 is until February 7th, but I was told by the professor Dr. Yegge like “Thank you for your contribution to our Discussion this week. The two resources that most appeal to you are both very important resources to help students succeed within this university. I am particularly glad to see you mentioned the tutorial services offered to students. You are correct in writing that this is a really great resource, but I think it is under used by students. My recommendation is to contact the tutoring services early on to familiarize yourself with how they can help you in your courses. For example, if you have an upcoming mathematics course you're concerned about, contact the tutoring service and discuss your options with them. Again, thank you for your very helpful response to our Discussion question this week.. “In this case, do I need to submit it again?
I am goind to start my science computer course next month and I am feeling a bit nervous! Your videos and all the information you are sharing are extremelly helpful! Thank you very much!!!
Gonna commence my computer science course on september aswell, Apart from the group activities i think everything is just simple.if you took part in orientation process then you will affirm to that. The moodle is quite easy to manage, you'll just be okay, hang on there don't be nervous.
Very enlightening video. I'm a new student in the Computer Science course at the University of the People and my classes will start in a few weeks. I am very excited for this new time.
I'm in my fifth week of Programming fundamentals and the learning journal is not like that at all! It's a whole coding assignment each time! Did they make it harder? lol
I prefer live videos or at least recorded ones Reading only textbook just taking too much time. It works ofc when you spend time for it but I think there should be so many other productive options to achieve knowledge faster than just reading pages and pages full of letters. Awn it’s just my opinion about that
There are 5 terms a year with clear starting and ending time for each term. If you are available to join course any term you must sign up for it at the beginning of that term. If you are not available then you must sign up for leave of absence
Yes it’s possible when you take 3-4 courses per term and combine studying with Sophia for shortening the study period of time. You even could complete it in 2 years with a condition of full financial control

Hi! If you dont mind I have a question , I'm new to UoPeople yesterday was my first day first term. could you let me know how do I rate peers discussions? The Rating 1-10 isn't showing on my Uopeople discussion forum. could you help me out? TIA!
The rating section is under each student post Before you see it you need to post your answer first then you could see other people’s answer and also the rating section
Hi Chang, What happens if the peer-to-peer assessment is graded unfairly? Does the professor review it again? Had it happened to you? If yes, how did you handle it?
I dont think the professor reviews peer’s assessment and yes some of them did grade me really harshly before but because the peer’s assessment doesn’t account much percentages in total score, I don’t give it that much attention actually. And in case if you feel really unfair about it you still have the option of contacting the professor so … ;) But I think this should be a good recommendation for next feedback review to our university
Wait for the UoPeople team to enroll you in two subjects. After finishing them, you will have to enroll in the next ones yourself. But rest assured, when you are a new student, the responsibility for enrolling you in the first subjects is the responsibility of the institution. This is explained in the "welcome kit" your program advisor sent you by email. What's your course? I'm starting now Computer Science.
