Does Ada have a Walmart a family Dollar Dollar tree do they have a recycling center what is the average lowest cost of rent for a two to three bedroom? I'm looking for a place to move to currently I live in Lawton and I hate it.
Born in Ada, leaving in 1974 for USAF. Very nice little town with great people. My Dad ran the Deep Rock station at 14th and Mississippi back in the mid 60s. It is the Art Deco building at the 40 second mark in the video. There are an amazing amount of very expensive homes that were built in the 1930s which you have missed. If you ever return, visit 25th street and see the incredible homes that are still there.
So much to see there. The homes on Kings Road, Ada Cement Plant, Roller Coaster Road, a lot more. I grew up there about the same time you did I’m guessing. I believe I remember your Dad. I lived on East 12th just a couple of blocks South of Mississippi.
I lived here until June 1962. i was 14 years of age in 1962, and attended Willard & Washington elementary schools, and Ada Jr. H.S while living there. A lot has changed in 60 years!!!
travelled through ada last summer,....i thought the end of trail neon sign was the highpoint of town. dunno if it worked or not as it was daytime when i went through............love oklahoma...
@@actionrover there were some teens that destroyed the cage and killed the monkeys. So sad. I guess there wasn't hope to think that the other animals would be safe.
I went to that church at 3:47 for 8 years when I was a kid. I miss Ada more than I thought I would growing up.

I enjoyed this tour of Ada. Here in Southern California a "small town" means roughly 25,000 residents. Keep these coming please.
Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed.
Born and raised here. Interesting to see what others have to say about it

What did they do with the monkey cage?
I am not sure why they moved it.
They made it into a stage for bands and stuff
