In Far Cry 3 and this Insanity DLC, you can see that Citra is the actual villain, and she is the one who made Vaas the way he is, along with Hoyt being the one to introduce Vaas to drugs, guns, violence and killing. This DLC is just how Vaas sees things in his own mentality; his insanity. It isn’t about making Jason a villain or Vaas a hero, or even vice versa, it’s just a game about Vaas’s screwed up mentality. In Vaas’s mind, Jason is the villain, so the way he sees him, is how we see him in this game. This DLC is just about Vaas journeying through his mind to fight his insecurities, traumas, and addictions. He’s mentally trying to destroy his sister because he couldn’t actually do that in real life despite all the abuse and manipulation Citra put him through.
It feels relaxing when vaas is alive and chilling on the beach with his tennis ball (Jason).
Jason was never buried up to his head on the beach, that was that McLuvin guy.

Jason Brody Can't be villian.
