When my grandmother died last year it hit me so hard I couldn't cry or show emotion. It was so overwhelming that I didn't know how to process losing the woman who raised me. Riddy, I hope you never read comments (because it's the internet), but in case you do...It was a tall order to make a studio recording to match the emotion of the Western AF version of this that we were all introduced to. You nailed it. It's like the slightly slower tempo of this version lets the words hurt more between verses. Oof.
