- I know EXO just had a comeback but I started to make this video before EXO's comeback so theres not really anything new here. I found some notes that are wrong. Baekhyun's D3 is an Eb3 and Baekhyun's F4 in falsetto is an F#4. Chen's E3 in belted notes is an E4 and Baek's F3 is an F4 in belted notes. There is no way F3 and E3 can be belted because those are low notes but I apologize for my mistake. It took a lot of time and effort into making these videos so I hope you enjoy it.

Personally, I love Kyungsoo's voice the best, mainly because he's my bias and also he had that really sweet and soft voice that's different from all of the others. It's soooo angelic and cute =v= I have to admit, Chennie's vocal strengths are the best, but my fav is SQUISHY SOO

I think Chen has the best low and high notes but Kyungsoo has a very unique and emotional, adorable voice. Also Baekhyun has a different toned sometimes hard and sometimes soft voice.

Neko Nao most of fans & people would say the otherwise for Baek & Soo. If you read the comments of many EXO's videos then you would know.
They say Soo has the most pleasing tone & timbre while for emotion it's Baek that superior due to how flexible his voice changed.
I dont know why but for me.. I think soo's voice lacks emotion. Baek is full of emotion but the one that can really bring. Me into tears is Chen's voice whenever he sings sad songs

@@lancecw6405 it does. That's so rare to have a main vocal that is focused on agile runs than belting. Plus, Kyungsoo is considered the most agile vocalist in K-Pop and I think you can rank Kyungsoo one of the top 3 vocalists who have good runs in K-Pop if not the best.

Baekhyun not only has an amazing voice that can do everything but he has the ability of touching people when he wants to. He basically can do every genre, in all exo comebacks his voice suited the concept. He is really talented.

Kyungsoo has the most agile voice out of them, that's why he's mostly in charge of runs/adlibs in EXO album. His runs mostly is flawless. Technically, Jongdae is the best out of 3 then Kyungsoo, then Baekhyun (based on Kpopvocalanalysis). Tone is subjective, in my case, I LOVE Kyungsoo's voice. His voice is just personification of melting chocolate I swear.

Totally agree with you! My favourite voice in kpop is Kyungsoo’s.
They have different styles, Kyungsoo is a master in rnb and is extremely versatile and agile. Chen has the best vocal range and baekhyun has that classic (I’m not saying this in a bad way) powerful voice.
They complement each other very well and that’s why exo’s main vocal line is the best in kpop.

I think chens voice is very emotional and powerful. I think that his voice fit balads. I think he would sing adele or sam smith songs very well. for D.O I think his voice fits r&b and when it comes to Baekhyun I'm unsure of what genre his voice fits. I think baeks voice sounds typical kpop and its not really unique at all but if you have never heard any kpop in your life than I think baek's voice would be unique. for me I think chens voice is the most emotional but I like D.O's style. in terms of techniques chen is the best.

While all of them are extremely talented, it's clear that the ranking is as follows:
1) Jongdae
2) Kyungsoo

Jongdae has the best low register in all of Kpop and has the best technique and sense of pitch in EXO.
Kyungsoo' agility is ridiculously good. Like it's honestly phenomenal.
Baekhyun's falsetto is very good and he is very good at singing with emotion.

@@dreamer4475 hasnt changed a lot. all of them improved but the ranking is still the same. Baekhyun has gained some skills tho such as a very good mixed voice 5th octave and his falsetto has improved a bit too so he closed the gap between him and kyungsoo a bit (even tho it wasnt a big gap to begin with)

Baekhyun's highnote in El dorado must be here. I think it's his highest (or one of his highest atleast). That's his best highnote for me.

Chen has the strongest technique and best placement. Baekhyun may have the widest falsetto range (vocal range amongst exo in general) but his lower register and mix is not better than kyungsoo and Chen so thats why he's ranked lower. When it boils down to it your supported range is what matters not your vocal range

It's differ that what people expect while they listening a song. It's your thought but when I listen D.O.'s voice I always feel emotion that he trying to gave us. Even Lay, Suho, Xiumin are not main vocalists they are better than some band's main vocalist. So, EXO is an amazing group we can't say this one is always the best. We can just say this one's voice make me feel better.
Raicho Chan that's not what I'm talking about. Delivering emotion through singing is purely & totally subjective. Some might say D.O is the best at it, some might say it's Baek, & some others would say Chen or other members. So that's definitely not a good point to decide their skill.
BUT vocal technique can be objective & used to measure their ability, talent & skill. & based on that, Chen's vocal technique obviously topped the other two, making him the best vocalist in EXO.
Everyone is saying D.O and Chen but it seems Baeke is very underrated.

D.O. I feel he is underrated when it comes to these Vocal Videos and he is stable most of the time. He can actually sing, his voice just isn't for Pop Music really.
I love all of the EXO Vocalist but D.O will always be my favorite
D.O's style of singing is very R&B and people tend to recognize him for his lovely warm silky voice instead of his vocal techniques. Chen usually being the one they praise instead technique wise which is understandable because he is the strongest vocalist in exo. I personally don't think D.O is underrated. he just get praise for other things like the tone of his voice a lot more which also doesn't mean he doesn't have developed vocal techniques. he has better technique than most vocalists in general and he's the second strongest vocalist in exo.

as for emotions to me chen is the best since he is better with dynamics and he always have this sad face when he sings. baekhyun is also good with emotions but his dynamics is not as good as chens since he try to push his voice more to create power. as for d.o he always look very uninterested whenever his line is over.
as for voice i think d.o as the best voice. d.o's voice is so warm and silky and very r&b. i think chens voice is not as appealing but it doesnt sound ugly.

the letter is which note they are singing and the number is which octave the note is from.
for example: C5 is the note C from 5th octave
this is about how well they can sing the notes. how supported and controled their notes are and how good their sense of pitch is. their low notes should be clear sounding without it becoming airy and fade away and their belted high notes should be sing in mixed voice and their mixed voice have to be balanced between chest and head voice and how powerful and supported they are and absolutely not strained. the falsetto or head voice should be clear and not breathy.

To me I feel like Kyungsoo voice is great for like songs like his OST 'Scream' or ballads songs, even acapella. While I think Baekhyun voice like his OST 'Beautiful' or his song with Suzy 'Dream'. And even Exo songs (most of them are very powerful songs). But like Kyungsoo, Baekhyun went ever he sings his high note they sing with Falsetto. Chen on the other hand could sing without falsetto or with. His voice is really strong, so it's very powering. Because he can hit high notes well, and low notes well too. But unlike Kyungsoo, the two their voices sounds good even if they are singing acapella. But I think the best is Kyungsoo, while I think Baekhyun can sing more of happy, upbeat tune, hiphop songs, while Jongdae I feel like he can sing poweful songs that suits him well. Next time, please include Kim Minseok and Kim Joonmyun too. I know they aren't Exo Main Vocals, but I believe the two also have amazing singing skills too. it's harder to do other members that are not main vocalist because they don't get the same amount of lines as the main vocalist and there for they haven't sung as many notes so it's harder to make these videos but maybe next time if I can find a good amount of notes from them.
Chen is technically the highest skilled singer of Exo. Shortly after him comes Baekhyun followed by D.O. who comes somewhat before Suho. Lay is a little bit better than Xiumin. It's true that the three leads don't get so many lines that impress but that's because they can't sing them as good as the mains do (except for Suho with some lines)
