Rest In Peace Jean Paul belmondo, he was truly an inspiration and apart of a pioneering film style in French new wave, I’m so fortunate I got to say I shared the earth with this talent, he will be remembered always
I never saw Belmondo in a film. I was too young and never was allowed to go to movies. (Strict Greek Family Syndrome). I saw his face on a popular poster of him posing like "Bogie". I bought it (somehow: no money for females) and scotch-taped it on the wall behind the door to my bedroom. I knew that my mother would only open the door and stand on the threshold to speak to me. She never saw it. He was mine.
I think you cannot watch this kind of movie without knowing French language at least fluently. I understand how people get bored thinking something will happen, when the only interesting stuff is how the characteers are talking.
@@greatcoldemptiness If you say so. What I mean is that you cannot really translate what is said/hinted in the movie. Especially with the translation in this video.
@@monkkali Im not saying you cant like it the way you do. But i think you cant really "get it". Just like you cannot really understand what to "get it" means if you're not familiar with english-speaking culture. But in the end that's just my opinion, tell me if you think im mistaken. Im just mad about people who bash a work of art just because they didnt find what they searched in it.
Even I can hear her American accent. It's charming and honest.

Definitely at least in my top 10 movies of all time
The world lost a fine actor
Reasons why I love Jean Seberg: When Jean-Paul Belmondo tries to see under her skirt she smacks the hell out of him. What a babe.
Oh was that unscripted? That would be really creepy of him
@@a.c.7573 Almost all that movie was sort of "improvised".
French New Wave cinema intrigues me.
Me too.
A cette époque, les acteurs articulaient. Aujourd'hui ils chuchotent et on ne comprend rien.
tres elegant
très romantique
stripes are different in each characters...
Wow, what a sexy pair!
J-P Belmondo/Jean Seberg ou Delon/Romy Schneider ? Les deux sont sublimes
Te amo 🤩💗🤩💗

That has absolutely nothing to do with understanding French

I don't understand French and I think this is one of the greatest movies ever made.

Seberg trailer brought me here..
on a peur de soi! de qui d'autre ?
People of France: A good-looking depressed guy smoking a cigarette is not a movie.
It's not?
Américo Herrera Then what is?
Then you truly don't understand it.
Breathless changed cinema you jerk.
He made a joke... calm down! This joke was featured on Family guy and it was pretty funny (at least to me).
quite possibly one of the most horrible scenes to watch in any film. it was an absolute drag to sit through it
What!? X)
Wooooooow. I guess character-based, intellectual, slow-paced movies aren't for you. Maybe giant Blockbusters are more your speed.
Lightning Farron There’s art in blockbusters have you seen blade runner?
@@ClaireYunFarronXIII what's intellectual about this crap?
Care to elaborate?
I never liked this movie.!
Good for you
You are not a cineaste then. You're the one missing out.
Richard! It’s Tom from London Met Film Studies. What a coincidence coming across your comment on here! I hope you’re doing well mate.
