    This is day 152 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
    In this game we play the Sicilian Defense!
    I realized in past videos that I need to work on my analysis sections, so I'm really trying to improve at them. Hope you enjoyed this one, I think it's helpful for myself as well!
    So far on the series:
    97 wins 9 draws 75 losses

    Thank you for the quick review after the game. It helps to understand when moves were good or bad. Since I am still new to chess my goal is to learn something new about chess everyday. These are helping me do that and more. 🥳

    This is so cool to watch. I’m pretty much the same rating as you and there were some moves that I was scratching my head asking myself why you didn’t see it but then there were other moves that you played that were really strong and they didn’t even occur to me at all. I guess it just shows that for a lot of 16-1700 players, it’s about rounding out your game.

    • @Blunder_Man
      @Blunder_Man  Месяц назад +1

      I always feel that way when I watch other chess players! I like to watch gingergm, and sometimes I get frustrated because he misses some stuff, but then I realize he's seeing stuff that I am not even thinking about, I think you're spot on with saying "rounding out your game", we can all improve

      @@Blunder_Man spot on. Honestly, I watch 18-1900 play and I think to myself ‘I would beat these people’ then I play 18-1900s and I think… ‘I’m awful at this game’ haha

    Haven't watched review yet, but at 4:20 if your opponent plays pawn e6, capturing your knight, it attacks your light square bishop. After you move your bishop, he would recapture your dark square bishop and would be up a piece. Always look for those in-between moves opponents can play!

    good game. i have been learning a sicillian which is designed for when white moves bishop to C4 and the response to that is pawn E6. the opening is called the Taimanov/. it is one of the lines in the Sicilian. it prevents the bishop access to D5 which caused you some issues in the opening.

    Which opening is your favourite as black ? (in response to e4)

    • @Blunder_Man
      @Blunder_Man  Месяц назад

      The sicilian, and I generally almost always fianchetto the dark squared bishop.
      I also like the black lion which comes from a pirc set-up. I rarely play it anymore though, I'm usually always playing the sicilian these days. I don't think I have ever played a single game of e5 as black
