As a student SLP studying for their Medical Speech Pathology final, I thank you. I just get confused on WHY a fenestated tube is needed - aren't they using a trach tube because the upper airway is compromised? How can they breathe through their mouth and nose when it is plugged? And they plug it for speech...? Thanks in advance, I just get mixed up sometimes.

this fenestrated tube is WRONG it should be little hole so when suctioning it is not injured the trach

too much talking and moving around, very disorganized, need to be more organized with each step and demonstrate it as going. very very confusing
