To the one who asked if social media makes being a mom look easier…100%. I struggle so hard being a mom and everytime I watch anyone on RUclips I feel so defeated because everyone’s kids seem to just fall asleep peacefully and don’t cry, they nicely sit in high chair and neatly eat their food, they never seem to whine or cry and I wonder what I’m doing wrong and what is wrong with my baby…but truth is a lot of moms have the same struggle…they just show the good moments only. I want a RUclipsr that shows the real truth. I get no one wants to show their kid at their “worst” but to me it is them at their “real” haha.
Is it makes you feel any better Landon and Darin found a black sharpie tonight and literally colored all over the walls and furniture in their bedroom !!! Yayyyy me 🥲🫠🙃🙃🙃😂
it’s also a double edge sword showing stuff like that. I mean showing your kid covered in food is literally my kids day to day life 😂 but on one hand people like you feel validated but on the other hand you have drama channels that shred these moms to pieces for exploiting their children. I guess you can’t win 🤷🏼♀️ but just remember every single child whines and cries. It’s part of their developmental growth!
Every kiddo has their struggle! I don’t have a RUclips channel but I do have a 5 month daughter. People see her and are like “you have a really chill baby”. What they DONT see is that any time her routine is disrupted, she literally screams for an hour before bedtime. She’s very stubborn and it's gotten frustrating to the point where I'll cry with her. But people don’t see that on the day to day. We all have our struggles, I promise. I bet you're a phenomenal mother!
I totally agree with Madeliene. If you show your kids too much, you're "exploiting your children". I don't post my daughter on any social media at all and people get angry with me for "not including them" in my kids life. They think I'm pretentious for hiding my daughter. You can never win as a mom. You just gotta have confidence in what you're doing and know that you know best for your kiddo.
I love Madeliene's channel because other mommas get to connect with each other. It reminds me I'm not alone :) And neither are you!

@Madeliene VanMarter omg my kids (3 under 4) did that in the bathroom. Worst part was the freak out when I didn't know where they went so fast and turned out they'd closed and locked the door behind them while wreaking havoc with the sharpie 😭😆
Honestly we don’t need to see the reality of other peoples homes or kids in order to be secure and confident in our own homes with our own kids. You shouldn’t need to see the reality of other people’s lives to feel validated with your own. It takes a lot of work to stop comparing with others and just focus on your own life, and accepting that absolutely no one is perfect and that’s the truth. It’s not easy but focus on your own kids without comparing how much harder (or easier) they are than other people’s kids
As as mommy of a kid diagnosed with ASD, I'd love to see more videos regarding Darin's diagnosis and therapy. Kids getting with Autism is on the rise, and many people would benefit from these videos! I love your channel😊

I am glad I found your channel. I am due this week with baby #5 and your labor and postpartum videos have been encouraging to me. Also, It is so hard to find young moms that embrace God's will and homemaking. Nothing I hate more than ppl asking "are you done having kids?". The best advice I have heard is listen to advise from others and then do what feels right for yourself and family. Just because the advise is coming from "more experienced" folks doesn't make it better or right! After 5 years of passing my children along to family members or having husband watch them on his off days, making the decision to be a SAHM & homeschooling was the best I've ever done. ❤ No better feeling than knowing who my kids are being influenced by and just watching them grow, embracing every moment and being present for them is such a blessing. Best of luck with your channel this year and hope your back is feeling better.
The nerves! OmG, These people need to mind their business. As if they are paying your bills. I used to get judged for being around many kids, who weren’t even mine.

Back to the Q&A, I can relate to a lot of what you said especially always wanting to be a homemaker. I used to work in corporate and it was the most soul sucking time of my life. I live in Los Angeles and I feel like being a homemaker is not very popular here so it’s nice to see I’m not alone and there are other women out there who feel the same way I do 🙌🏽

15:25 I was waiting for the answer to that question. First of all, I think the same, I hate people's opinions when they say why do you have so many children? or things like that, it's my body, it's my decision. I have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy (same age as Lincoln) and if God allows me, I want to try for one more baby. Maddy, you are still very young, having 4 boys is wonderful, but if one day God blesses you with one more baby, you must first pray before conceiving, that is the most important thing. Second, I recommend you try a natural method such as the Shettles method for gender selection, have you heard of that? Children are a blessing regardless of gender and you have a beautiful family ❤.

With the baby weight thing, it really does depend on your body and it's different with every pregnancy too. I breastfed my first until she was almost 4, and no amount of working out helped me lose weight but I also didn't gain any after having her, but as soon as I stopped breastfeeding I was back to pre pregnancy weight within 2 months! With my second, I have just gained weight. I was still breastfeeding when I got pregnant with my third, so I didn't get a chance to lose any weight.
I subscribed to your channel recently , i have a lot of admiration and respect for the way you handle everything with 4 kids, i started having a different (more positive view) about my own life after i started watching your videos. I have a 1 year old boy, and another baby on the way (im 15 weeks preggo😁). Thank you for sharing everything about your life!!

You are totally me! I have 3 kids my husband works construction so he’s gone all day and it’s just me basically. I always felt like there was no other RUclips moms in that genre cause most had their husbands home. Or lived close to family etc.

Im glad im not the only one who loves being a stay-at-home mom. I love being a stay-at-home mom also, wish there wasnt so much pressure from society, for moms to be so "independent" and have a "career," all of that is so overrated. Like, can we just enjoy being at home taking care of the kids and the home... that alone, is already a full time job! 😅
it's really hard being a homemaker! I'm still learning and it is exhausting! My nail tech told me today she has no idea how I stay home with 4 kids because she couldn't wait to go back to work and she did at 6 weeks pp lol

I’m a lone parent and love my kids and having lots of kids. If I was married I’d have a football team. Remember no matter what you do you can still get pregnant m if God wants you to.
Weight questions are usually very tricky and you didn’t have to answer that. People tend to compare or wish to follow your diet plans when they would probably pile on weight should they attempt it.
They don’t understand some people have fast metabolism or naturally skinny and too wish to gain weight. My sister is the total opposite of me as she gained so much weight after kids and struggling to loose it. Even with healthy diet etc

Did any of your kids ever get diagnosed with a tongue or lip tie?
I just had my son two weeks ago and we need to possibly get a revision . The thought of it makes my stomach turn. :/
My 6 week old had both his lower and upper released approximately 2 weeks after his birth. The nurses at the hospital noticed it and recommended we go and get it looked at outside of the hospital to a paediatric dentist.
Procedure worked out just fine. Tiny bit of bleeding once we got him home that day. But that’s all. His latch to the bottle is much better now :) it was well worth it ❤️
Pediatric dentists make it quick and easy with laser now! You just need to massage the tissues so it doesn’t reattach after.

Landon wasn’t ( 19 when I got pregnant, 20 when I had him) tried for 2 months then had Darin. Didn’t want to go back on birth control and Kevin and I said if it happens it happens. We wanted more kids but didn’t actively try. Then we had Hudson and Lincoln :)

I do not like that you use the word 'solo' having a husband. for us who are really solo is a slap in the face.
Solo and single are not the same! The definition of solo - “done by one person alone; unaccompanied” if anything it would be a slap in the face to my husband lol. my videos aren’t titled “single mom”. You know what I mean so please don’t make it something it’s not. I am solo during these times with my kids.
