That's a beautiful area. We stayed in that area when we did our RV tour of the western US a few years back. The beaches and weather temperature were a bit of a shock for a couple of Australians. We weren't used to a summer that's not constantly 95F each day. You've captured the visit incredibly. Always look forward to your videos. Stay safe, folks. Best wishes from Tamborine Queensland.
Hi, have injoyed watching your travel and different states you have been to as I have not been to the US always known that been so big you have more natural site's so its nice to the US with you in video's. As I am in the UK it makes a change to see the wonders of nature.
Thank you for the fun video. I live just south of Gold Beach in Brookings where it’s less windy and usually a bit warmer, if anyone is planning a trip to the Oregon coast. We have a great state park system here in Oregon and one the best campgrounds is right here in Brookings called Harris Beach SP. It’s not as swanky as Turtle Rock but “A”loop has fantastic ocean views of the Pacific Ocean and full hook-ups at half the price. The sites are back in but long with paved pads. It is usually full in the summer months so be sure to plan ahead and get reservations if you want to visit that time of year. As someone else mentioned the fall months here get some of the best weather and campgrounds are not packed. There are many other great State Parks on the Oregon coast and it’s a fantastic way to explore our beautiful coastline.
My house is right up the hill from Turtle Rock. Thank you so much for coming to our beautiful small town! I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world to be able to call Gold Beach home. The beach there is ALWAYS windy. Although in early September the wind subsides and it’s actually pretty warm. If you go up river a bit you also come away from the wind and it warms up a lot. It looks like you had an amazing time! Come back again soon.
maibe use the bus as a homebase , and move it less often and to a cental place of wat you want to see then use either a smaller vehicle to explore in a circle around the bus / homebase , should save you on some of the fuelcosts and places to actually park the big bus
This was a great place to stay. all the good comforts. A brewery, a bar and a tub for your use, the view was great and the beaches were lovely with seats right by the water. Have a wonderful week
Hope your plans include the Oregon Dunes and you take dune buggy rides. Then be sure to hit Sea lion cave outside Florence. So sorry you won’t be criss crossing the state, you will miss a lot. River jet boating, Oregon caves, out n about tree resort, rogue River origin, crater lake, McKenzie River area, Bend in central Oregon, Klamath lake, mt hood lakes and forests, thunder eggs in eastern Oregon, Prineville reservoir and the painted hills, so much!!!
We’ll definitely go inland in Oregon another time. For various reasons we needed to pick one or the other for this year and we have been inland for so long that the coast won this years vote!
Hi Mela and Don. I loved seeing the rugged coastline and the nature walks with the amazing view. The park you stayed in the best was the 3rd one with the river view. Your cats seemed to like it too.
I absolutely love watching your adventures and I love how excited you are to be exploring your surroundings- keep enjoying your journey- ps. Mel I also don’t eat tortillas with my fajitas- also when you get back from hiking wash with Dawn Dish Soap- it is just another amazing thing that Dawn is used for…
When you guys get near Astoria, Oregon be sure to look up all the movie locations like the Goonies house and beach (Cannon Beach) etc. One of my favorite and most memorable locations I visited while I was passing though that area. Enjoy!
Niiiiice! I wanted to comment on the special email you sent me but for some reason my keyboard wouldn’t pop up. Poop! Can’t remember what I wanted to say now, but I’m glad I got to see this again. What a great campground! And Don, you’re getting good at driving that big rig. 😊
Looks so beautiful there. Here’s a tip I learned in Scouts, keep a bar of Fels Napha soap on hand for those times you get a little to close to poison oak/ivy. You can find it by the laundry soap, as it’s a detergent. Wash with it and use Cortizone cream and you should be good to go. -Trixie.the.Skoolie
This is such a great video! Your editing is getting better and better, and I am so happy to see you continuing to enjoy all that bus life has to offer. You guys worked SO hard to get to this point and I am pleased to see you soaking in the beautiful fruits of your diligent labor together. Much Love Always (from Dubai this time).❤
wow you are in Dubai??? Hope you are having a wonderful time! We are so glad you enjoyed the video and it is wonderful to hear you see them improving. We do work so hard on them so appreciate the compliments :)
Hi Don & Mela, Maybe you both need a break from your travels and settle into that nice resort for awhile before getting back on the road again just to put your minds at ease.
No not vegan but we do eat a lot of meatless home cooked meals. I have a lot of food intolerances and Don has to avoid many veggies, nuts and soy/tofu because they are high in oxalates which give him kidney stones. So between the 2 of us becoming vegan was too challenging with our food restrictions , it didn’t work for our bodies.

Always loving it love from nepal✌️😍
Thank you so much 😀
@@Rehabit8 warm welcome for good response✌️🙏
Regular margarita, Patron top shelf with contreau . Frozen or on the rocks, nolè hacè.
I personally prefer mine to be the standard flavor on the rocks. I really am not a fan of the frozen ones
