The thing with diamonds is not only difference between manufacturers but coming from the yarn community- we know if you want a match of something that is dyed, you need to get your entire lot from the same batch at the same time. This is because even with the best recipes there’s some colour differences between on batch to another. I think they may have started some using dmc codes per customer preference but I don’t think it has the accuracy. Just a thought when you are deciding to combine leftovers from kits....
I had an idea on your problem. When you created the storage you put in a labelled piece of card for every dmc number. You could pull all the ones that you currently are not using a store somewhere else in your craft room. Also have you thought about doing something similar to your HAED but with round. Loved your storage idea so much I went a re-created it for my own diamond painting drill storage a couple months ago and I love it. Thank you for the awesome videos! 😁💖
Hi Kimberley, that is an idea, if I get too restricted on space I'll do that. As for a similar to my HAED with round, I'm not sure how that would work with the edges showing as white, but when I get a minute, I do plan on looking into other things that can be done.

My question is about Diamond Dotz (DD). Their drills all have higher numbers, starting at 5001 which is a white iridescent then into the 8000’s. I think you might considered the iridescent’s ab’s. My question is do you know anything about the number system for DD and how it compares/relates to DMC. Thanks for any advice you can give.
Hi, I am sorry but I don't know what colours diamond dotz use. You could try comparing them to ones you have DMC numbers for and slowly build up your own list. :)

What do you do with extra drills from all the diamond paintings you've done that didn't have a DMC code with them to separate them into groups? I started off with many kits of nice drills but no codes. HELP? should I just toss them? THANK YOU!

Why instead of throwing them away place them in a fancy bottle with fairy lights in the bottle. They look really pretty when lights turned on. I have mine in a fancy wine bottle and a fancy rum bottle, plus a fancy Maple syrup bottle.

Homfun ... Moonzero ..... Evermoment are some of the best. Huacan is good for round drill kits. Fansells isn't on Aliexpress but I LOVE that site. Hope that helps

I still recommend a really nice mason jar for 310 and 3756. Cheap and very aesthetically pleasing!

I just find it easier to have one DMC number to go to, then I can choose round or square. Saves on boxes and dividers.

how do you separate your box?, Is there a video of you making it ? I really need a box all my spares are just dumped in a drawer must be 100+ bags eek
I use foam board to separate the columns. I have a playlist on my RUclips on spare storage, or you can search for it.

I have done yes. I depends on what colours they need as I have quite a couple of HAEDs on the go myself at the moment.
