The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is the premier late night talk show on CBS, airing at 11:35pm EST, streaming online via CBS All Access, and delivered to the International Space Station on a USB drive taped to a weather balloon. Every night, viewers can expect: Comedy, humor, funny moments, witty interviews, celebrities, famous people, movie stars, bits, humorous celebrities doing bits, funny celebs, big group photos of every star from Hollywood, even the reclusive ones, plus also jokes.
He's funny, and he's unique, but also, god damn Jason is an attractive individual. He makes me feel feelings.
He has the name for a talk show host.
He's got the wit for it too
He has a serial killer name
Now that I think about it, get rid of the e and he has the name of a vigilante.
Jimmy?
I.R.D.K. Productions Jason Batman :D
Jason can have the gig after Stephen becomes our next President.
Yes!
sounds like a great plan
Psh, forget that. If President Cheeto can have dozens of campaign rallies and spend every other day golfing, surely Steven can find the time to still host the show!
Fireside Chats with President Colbert!
I sincerely hope that no one would vote for colbert
"...where we re-enacted Civil War battle on ice..."
Am I the only one who thinks that sounds totally awesome? 😲
+Stax 2High Heh. Well no. And it kind of puzzles me that anyone would want to re-enact a Civil War battle in the name of Confederate _pride_ because... well... the Confederacy _lost._ That's why they're not _around_ anymore.
But Civil War battles on _ice?_ That sounds totally _awesome!_ 💥💥🎊💥✨🎊✨🎉 🎉 ✨🥁🎊🥁🥁🎉
hell yeah i love history and i know a guy who basically is in love with general lee because of his genius tactics. jackson as well i guess... i would like to see any hill battles on ice tho. Much falling on ppl would ensue
try reloading a musket on skates
they skate ... oh yeah we exported hockey,,, really they can skate, pennies on ice! the new show
I guess anything acted out while ice skating would b amazing...
dude, i didn't realize it before, but jason bateman should take over for stephen when stephen retires. that was amazing.
Stephen's improv skills are impeccable
... He's... really natural at that, actually. I'd watch a talkshow with him :D
true he should do it
His sidekick should be Will Arnett
"Let me at that thing."
I love Jason so much. His deadpans are just brilliant.
Jason is actually very funny. This segment doesn't do him justice, it's as though he's trying to make sure he doesn't outshine Colbert.
T Dawg I'm actually tired of it. Sometimes I just want to hear out the guests..
T Dawg Soo.. How's life?
OH YEAH. He's hysterically funny, the only show where I can think off offhand where he was able to speak without too much interruption was Kimmel.
unicorn puppy which is, traditionally, a great quality in a talk show host (looking at you, fallon)
You know what?, I thought the same thing. Jason should've let it rip. You could see he was holding back
I would pay to see Jason Bateman do stand-up, but it would have to be in the vein of his life stories with questions from the audience, and conversational humor. Conversational humor is the best, there's nothing more fun than playing off of someone else. My husband and I drive each other insane when we both get the giggles, we're really dumb and silly. 😂😂😂😂😂 But it's fun. It actually really is..., having laughter and joy is a good marriage. But yeah .., we're dumb.
Jason, buddy, love ya', stay safe. I used to live where you do and I could've met you if I would've taken the time, my regret, 'cause I think you're awesome. 👍
I love how Stephen still let the guest sit down first even when he was playing the role as a guest.
Such a gentlemen!
Jason Bateman is way too good looking. he should get a bit ugly and give us other jasons a chance.
He just seems to get better with age.
sorry Jason, but you forgot about Jason Statham. You sir are out of luck.
David Beppler, too true. he is rugged as well as handsome.
I am sorry Jason :(
Maybe you can trade on the Bean family name
The Late Show with master Bateman.
Now THAT is a show I'd watch...
What's funny about this, is that Jason seems like a pretty funny dude, and if anything tragic were to happen to Stephen, CBS should definitely call him to see if he wants the job...
...Or they could just try their best to convince Jon Stewart to come out of retirement one last time, you know, whatever floats the CBS boat.
Jackeroose98 Or they could get Jason to guest host. He's pretty good.
Jackeroose98 let's just bring Stewart back or try to get Oliver
Jackeroose98 or we cannot wish that something bad happens in the first place
Well, as he's executive producer of the show, he's sort of back...
I don't want Jon Stewart on a censored network. HBO or bust!! I want pure unfiltered rage
Stephen is actually an amazing talk show guest, especially whenever he was a guest for Letterman.
Jason could take jimmy fallon's spot. Looks better at the job.
A rock covered in Nutella could take Fallon's spot--and do a better job! :)
Paxpaul yes Dwayne Johnson covered in Nutella would do very well. Chocolatey!
What's wrong with Jimmy? Why don't people like him?
@@kaylalezabeth7175 he not funny, it's just fake
Ughhh
I love it when they go off script (I'm assuming this was Improv and unscripted - I could be wrong).
Sueloveschoc they probably planned on doing it in rehearsal. I imagine the dialogue is all improvised seeing how strong these two are at improv.
How do people like you even watch these things? How can you take any joy out of it when your sooooooo cynical? Not EVERYTHING is ALWAYS planned out and scripted. I would imagine Guests aren't even present during rehearsals that would just be rehearsing the monologue and the comedic bits.
They played this perfectly
"I miss Dave" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
who is that? i don't get it
David Letterman, host of the late show before Colbert
Colbert is getting some therapy outta this role-playing improv game
This Jason guy looks like Michael Bluth and sounds like that fox from Zootopia.
Greatness Demands Everything the bland one? or Ann?
Greatness Demands Everything well no duh on that second one. Although he doesn't sound like Nick to me when the voice is not coming out of a fox mouth
Greatness Demands Everything he is.
@@mhilmyfauzi4523 who's ann
@@simsimshci who?
"Our next guest is (...) a recent man..." Jason Bateman is a National Treasure.
2:28 Oh my god I just realized... You guys know how Stephen always, ALWAYS waits that his guests sit first before he sits down? Here, even when playing the guest, he has an uncontrollable instinct to make sure Jason sits first and then sits down himself. It's kinda cute lol.
Oo, it was so good when Stephen came out and they played the Late Show theme. Just...felt right. It's his theme.
Jason's the man I would watch his talk show.
Hey Arrested Development season 5 starts filming July 25th!!!!
Also this reminds me of the interview Stephen did with Jon, when Jon asked him Al Sharpton's questions. Stephen is so freakin good at improv, I kinda hate it when he has to ask the pre-arranged questions, it's not as natural for him as this.
Tiia Mannix seriously! Colbert is my favorite person to watch when improvising. without laughing he'll make comedians crack up, I love it
I wish he'd just go full Craigy Ferg and just rip up the cue cards
Check out the episode of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me where Stephen stepped in last-minute for Lena Dunham and answered questions they'd written for her
Oh I've seen that! :D Or rather heard, it was on radio months ago. Sudden things like that are so natural and easy for him and they're so entertaining, wish he did bits like these more ^^
Tiia Mannix completely agree. Stephen really comes into his element when he gets to just make it up as he goes. This is what he's most comfortable doing I reckon.
The Ice Capades were my 2nd favorite kind of capades.
The A, B, and C capades have been underwhelming: I'm hoping it gets better in the second half of the alphabet.
I was going to say no; but it appears that the Ice have it.
You gotta love stephen colbert.
I'd watch it
0:52 - you know you're funny when you catch stephen off guard and make him crack.
their chemistry is amazing...this is just joyful.
The late show with Nick Wilde
erich84502ify
that makes a Surprising Amount of Sense
Gary Graham now that's a show I would watch
Nick Wilde looks great for a late talkshow
🤩
Look at the sass on Jason Bateman. YEEEESH
2:28 for a second there I thought he was gonna rip the cards into pieces lol miss you Craig
Really happy to see Stephen having fun
They have such great chemistry
The interviews keep getting better and better
Bringing up Bateman's "David Hogan" character from Valerie... dude, that was cooooooold. Like, Stephen took his chill and totally chucked it out the window with authority.
That "frozen peaches" with the "civil war reenactments" thing was clever. Most people aren't gonna catch that side shade lol
Jason would outshine every late night show host ever existed
The improv in this is incredible 😂😂😂😂 reminded me the days of the late late show with Craig ferguson! Love Stephen so much! 😄
I never noticed how banging the tune that plays when a guest walks onstage is
Stephen is such good improviser!
they are obviously friends , they have great chemistry on set i was really laughing on this one haha
"no more water for you" that was funny and a power move.
Jason would not be bad for the job. He's no stephen colbert but its funny seeing them interact because they have a similar disarming jabs and charming humor about them. He seems natural up there.
He looks good on that table
That was awesome
😂 the way Stephen entered his on show like guest.. he took it so seriously.. I'm ahittng myself
You'd make a fine talk show host, Jason.
I always forget just how good of an improviser Stephen is. But give him even just a little leash and he can riff for hours! Love it!
I miss Dave too 😢
He had me at the Hand Sanitizer 😂🙌👏( man after my own heart).DEFINITELY needs to end his career longevity with a talk show!!!
He really fits in behind the desk.
and i keep asking myself...why do i read the comments?
I love that Bateman. It's Your Move, anyone?
He's awesome. going to watch all his movies in a new light.
Jason would be a great host :)
"In 20 years, when he retires" lol.
Bounce a quarter off it and get 2 times and a knickel.🤣🤣🤣 I'm stealing that
You Rock It "Always"
-Never stop smiling every time
I see your show!
I’d watch a late night talk show with Jason Bateman every night if it existed.
He would serve Gotham better as the new Batman. Then Alfred could address him as "Master Bateman". Not the hero the Late Show deserves, but the one it needs.
stephen is so good at improv...and so is jason...very cute
I just love Jason...so sarcastically hilarious ❤️❤️❤️
HEY JIMMY FAKE FALLON, LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM JASON BATEMAN, LIKE NOT INTERRUPTING THE GUEST!
I would watch the hell out of Jason Bateman on a late night show.
So I guess in twenty years I'll be watching even one more late night show on RUclips.
I love these 2
I always love the stephen music
A real nice touch in how Stephen's walk on music was Humanism. (The late Show's theme.)
'A recent man...'
Wonderful self depreciation
Love Jason Bateman!
That is dope entrance music for Colbert.
"You're in here early at noon or something" BURN
I like Jason Bateman as a talkshow host. Its cool. Its nice. Its funny. A lot of fun.
Since 2020, Jason has been hosting a podcast, SmartLess, with Will Arnett and Sean Hayes!
Thats the man who know's the story of lego
We got a “The Lego Brickumentary” fan over here lol
Bateman being facetious.
I like the idea of Jason Bateman hosting a talk show
I would actually watch Jason Bateman in late night. He's awesome! Has the charisma for it
I'd love to see a talk show hosted by Jason Bateman!
I would 1000% watch his talk show if he ever got one!!
Jason is so good....
i love the nostalgia of this vid
Love these two!!
Nice that Jean Babtiste had the theme from The Late Show with David Letterman in his back pocket ready to go at the mention of Dave.
It's official: Jason's taking over, Stephen, you're fired.
Jason Bateman should have his own Late Show where he just messes things up all the time like forgetting the guests name ... "Brendan Pitt it was?"
Ah, they're so cute together. Jason would make a good talk show host, btw. He's likable and very quick with a joke. Still not as good as Colbert, of course, but not many people are.
Colbert is the best lol
I love you Jason Bateman!
I love this show.
This was a good wake-n-bake this morning during the virus. I love both these guys. That was funny. 👍😂😂😂😂
Jason Bateman has got to have his own talk show...please! He's great! I have been a big fan...
That dude is way to handsome for a TV show host, but Stephen becomes president you can have the gig #Colbert2020
The late show with my perfect voice.
Some mutual therapy happening here
So random. Love it!
i love it when Jason's voice gets husky.
