Always loved the quarter note triplet and the chord to the allargando at 3:31. It adds to the drama and tension and the pain. It feels almost powerful, almost surreal in a way. The timpani roll in the background is just beautiful. The entire piece is so restless and beautiful as a whole. Loved the crescendo from the trumpets and bassoons at 3:58, but the F felt too quiet at the end of it. The response from the violins being so dramatic with some hope then leading into possibly the most beautiful phrase of the piece from the violins.
La cultura odierna e la decadenza generale, non permette a nessun uomo musicista moderno, nemmeno di scrivere due note simili o degne di questo grande ed unico capolavoro. Che progresso abbiam fatto.
@@proarte4081Incredible.... people thinks Puccini live in Hollywood of 1940s because the cinematic music sound...The first greath work of Puccini was Manon Lescaut in 1893, and the feel of his works are already cinematic since the university years of Puccini, in late 1870s. An amazing composer...

Questo non è vero. Ci sono degli compositori che scrivono opere fantastiche in tutto il mondo, ancora oggi!!
Just love the chord change at 5:21.

I'm here because of Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo score.
Already we hear the orchestral prowess of Puccini. 2:27 on sounds like it could be taken from a golden-age Hollywood drama.
Indeed.
