Always worth spending a bit extra on high quality tools. It makes it less likely you will strip something and the tools will pay for themselves with how much less you have to spend at a bike shop for basic maintenance
I like this style of video from you!. If you do this with these guys next time it would be nice to hear more banter and commentary between you and them! Idk if its just me that thinks this.
5:32 That chain looks too short. How you gonna get the back wheel off when your tire needs maint.? Remove the complicated master link? 7:23 This is a better angle, but it still looks short to me.
Trust me , using a chain breaker to take a chain off and put it back together takes less than a minute. Slamming the rear wheel and a short chain is not a big deal, just make sure you have good tension and it’s not too tight. Other wise it’s no big deal
Love ur vlog so much, i am a single father and my kid love fixie so much but i couldn't afford him a full set engine 11 but ended up i build a $200 tsunami snm100 for him.. But some part it old n rusty
Dream build that only a Flintstone could love. Regardless, legit build. Maybe the HPlus SL42's would look better in matching the thick tubing. Looks like its on stilts.
Literally the only thing I don't like about my Wabi is no drop out protector, my drop outs look like junk after a year. I like the drop out protectors Engine11 use.
Same! mine are looking chewed after only a few months. That's another thing i admire about other frames! I see these steel dropouts and i think oooooh that must be nice! What model Wabi did you get?
Hello ive just bought myself a fixed gear but theres a problem when i try to skid my lockring goes loose and i watch some videos and my doesnt seem to go counter clockwise is this the problem?
I heard engine frames are just fancy Chinese repaints of the crew frames, it was an old debate but I’m wondering if that’s true because so many people are using it and seems to put it in high regards
What makes you believe it? Engine11 frames are made with either double-butted 6061, triple-butted 6069, or triple-butted 7005, while the Crew District has a different fork to all of them and comes in plain 6061. The Crew Ace and Defender don't match any of the Engine11 frames as well

Hydra is known for stiffness and durability. They can fit up to 45 c for tyres and 32 h for spokes so in terms and prices and durability I will go for hydra and pair up with any high-end good hubs 🔥
Naaah … don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice bike BUT: - Glossy black frame and matte black cranks? - The frame geometry seems a bit »off« (tire clearance to the frame front vs. back, angle of seat tube and fork) … - only chrome finish are the hubs? - The stem looks ugly on this bike … It seems more than a spontaneous mixture of expensive parts to me … Cheers (love your vids btw.) …

You know me, I’m heavily bias towards steel but I will say engine 11 frames are SICK plus the Hydras with the dura ace hubs!
Hell yeah. I recognize velo trap. Sac town representing!
Those digital torque wrenches look amazing!! The tool's quality matches the components

3:41 that Euro Asia gold though…
Great visuals, music, and audio timings with your transitions!
That moment when you finish building your bike and you realice that it will never be as clean as it is at that moment.
It should never be as clean and that’s a good thing. Good and expensive bikes deserve to be ridden. It would be a shame if it was just a wall piece
ohhhh that's a nice one, we need more videos like this one already :p
rotor vs the world!!!
Great film... Nice bike. Just not the same without you in the film. 😀👍
That thing is incredible
ThAt sprocket is beautiful.
this was a therapeutic walk down memory lane, thank you zachy.
Velo trap FTW!!!

Definitely too short. Too much chain tension as well.

Not only a beautiful bike but also a great video to watch. This young man's skill and patience is very meditative.
Does this bike have a similar geometry with Tsunami snm 100?

You break the chain, only takes less than 30 seconds. Not a big deal

It’s not a loose lock ring it’s just improper skid technique
What is the gear ratio?
Why working with a torque wrench if tighten again after the click ? Makes no sense. The chain is also too short and has too much tension.

They’re gaining popularity off the track right now. Loving mine. Very responsive frame.
I basically have the same wheels but I’ve been wondering why don’t ppl go with something like zipp 404 on dream builds?
