Agreed. FYI With the Q , when you set magnification in combination with focus peaking as focus assistant it will automatically reduce the focus peaking intensity.
Just bought a Leica m10. Loving it. What would you suggest to clean gaffe tape residue off the top plate? Previous owner taped up the red dot and Leica branding. It’s my first Leica and don’t want to mess it up. Love the channel by the way. So informative. I love the small history lessons.
@@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard thank you for the reply. Yes I will definitely leaving it original. It looks so nice as is. Just cleaning the previous owners mess. Keep up the great content.
In the menu you can set it to Mechanical or Electronic, or (better) to automatically sqitch to electronic when required shutter speed is faster then 1/4000
Thank you for this tip. It's not intuitive that you should turn off "focus peaking" when you're trying to sharply focus a "fast" lens (e.g. f/0.95 or f/1.2) wide open.
True, you would think it was there to help you, but it is more of a requested feature people know from other brands and kept asking for. And then they got it.
‘Not a sharp viewfinder, then you need outline’…. Hmm what about older people with deteriorating eyesight? These are the Leica buffs. Focuspeaking is essential.
Thank you ❤

Thank you 🙂 I don't believe in taping over things. I would leave it as original. If taped over, you can clean it with alcohol and it will be like new.

On M11 how do you switch between electronic and mechanical shutter ?
