The first-person scene was definitely just to hype up the the players customization. All those reactions are right out of the typical "Girl Changes, Guys Stare" trope down to the guy who gets scolded by his girlfriend for staring too much. If it was meant to be uncomfortable it wouldn't show her being prettier than other girls. It's supposed to prove that contrary to what Yagami and the old man think, Saori *does* look good when dressed up.
You can really tell Saori liked Yagami a lot. If he'd been paying closer attention to her story, he would have noticed she said that she would hook Mafuyu up with, "an even better guy than Morita." And while it seems ridiculous that she'd give the person she loved to someone else, I think it truly defines her natural sensitivity towards those close to her, and her profound kindness. She'd been around both Yagami and Mafuyu long enough to know that they were meant for each other, and even if there were moments when she had a chance to step in, Saori cares deeply for her friends before her own feelings. Her fierce love, gentle kindness, and unfathomable selflessness is what makes Saori one of the Best Girls of the Yakuza franchise.

Not just because he was the sole person who stood up for her and truly knew all her best qualities that showed she had more potential than they gave her credit, but because they share a similar "role preference." Thinking back on when they'd visited the ADDC, Yagami had a lot of praise towards Hoshino after he fearlessly stood up to Kuroiwa. And yet as much as he appreciated the suggestion to become the Ace Attorney of their Law Office, he confessed that he preferred supporting others as the sidekick, and felt it was just as important in court. I think if he keeps showing that cool side of his long enough, eventually Saori will begin to notice him and how he always noticed her all along.😁
*Point of No Return Warning* Maybe this is a good time to mention this, since you’re speeding along the main story pretty fast now. In Chapter 9, there will come a point where you get into a cab with someone to go to the ADDC. Once you do, you’re locked out of all side content for the rest of the chapter, all of chapter 10, and a chunk of 11. Well, there actually is one very narrow window in 10 where you can break away to exolore the city, but you pretty much have to be an ass and leave right in the middle of things, which isn’t really your style. You can still do some friendships, but side cases are all shut out. I recommend cracking on your load of side cases first. Remember, some can only be done at night, and some only during the day. So you might want to put off a Tender for a little bit since you’re currently in nighttime.
You've gotta remember that Saori is a professional lawyer like the others in the Genda Law Office. She may not always work on the court, but she does work with the clients at the office and would naturally conduct investigations to help with the cases.

Fun fact, that first person scene as Saori really offended a real "puritanical" on SEGA's localization staff that the English dub version was supposed to be written to make the player feel disgusted. Surprisingly, the dialogue actually adds to the immersion due to Kamurocho/Kabukicho being Tokyo night life district where cat-calling drunks/idiots are part of the norm.

Saori isn't just Best Girl, she's best Fem Phoenix Wright. 😆 Her story of how Mafuyu stood up for her growing up sounds like a mirror to Phoenix's inspiration to becoming a Defense Attorney. Mafuyu truly is her Edgeworth.
Nico, the whole Captain Cop bit was a BIG reference to Kamen Rider. Kaito's line of "a passing by crime fighter" is a direct reference to Kamen Rider Decade - KR is a LONG running franchise which actually started the whole transformation and posing moments you see in Power Rangers and such.
Nico did well to keep his Saori's makeup simple. I thought I had mine looking good in the salon but in the lighting of the club she kind of looked like a clown.

So if a 17 year old slept with a 15 year old and that was taken to court, they could defend themselves with this law. I don’t know about the rest of the states though.
About the age of consent in the u.s., like miles Edgeworth said(gg on taking time out of prosecuting to comment on your video), similar to Japans prefectures, it depends by state. Age of consent and marriagable age changes with each state, but I believe age wise it's similar to Japan.

The mole....I am honestly trying to work out the mystery here, and this in my opinion makes the most sense. The mole is working for the ADDC, a hired killer. The reason he is killing Koyre clan members is because he wants to ignite a clan war, and having the Koyre clan be angry at the Matsguane clan makes the most sense. If I had to guess, I think he is hoping he wants the whole Yakuza that the Matsguane clan is a part of to join, weaking the Koyre Yakuza, and by extension the plan to take the ADCC down. Shinitani was both a warning for Yagami as well as to prevent him from speaking about something, likley about the the drug.
Except that the only reason ADCC is in the picture is because of the body dumped in Yagami's office. That body clearly died from a gun wound rather than the eye gouging and his victim wasn't yakuza. Rather than him randomly deciding to change his MO but still make it look like his work, I suspect that the ADCC has a separate cleaner who was trying to make it look like the moles work. Even look at the fact that the death of Hattori showed that this cleaner is incredibly cafeful not to get caught as he made the death seem like a drunken brawl and got away Scot-free. Contrast that to the mole who has been doing these very public eye catching murders. While he might have purposely made these so flashy to cause the war you suspected him of, it doesn't make sense to kill a random lawyer in the same way and link it to himself. It makes even less sense because that lawyer was the one who got his presumed client off the hook.
It's odd that they use that first person view to lead into a big reveal for Saori when you're the one deciding what she looks like. Kinda seems like the developers were hoping let's players would hide her face until that scene.
Remember The Boys? Just imagine a swat team invading directly after the makeover... Strangely enough it would even make sence with the police wanting to arrest Yagami (for like the 90th time.)

I like to imagine that during the time you control Saori, during that first person segment, she's flipping the double bird the entire time.

Fun fact, that first person scene as Saori really offended a real "puritanical" on SEGA's localization staff that the English dub version was supposed to be written to make the player feel disgusted. Surprisingly, the dialogue actually adds to the immersion due to Kamurocho/Kabukicho being Tokyo night life district where cat-calling drunks/idiots are part of the norm.

Nico, the whole Captain Cop bit was a BIG reference to Kamen Rider. Kaito's line of "a passing by crime fighter" is a direct reference to Kamen Rider Decade - KR is a LONG running franchise which actually started the whole transformation and posing moments you see in Power Rangers and such.
Nico did well to keep his Saori's makeup simple. I thought I had mine looking good in the salon but in the lighting of the club she kind of looked like a clown.

The mole....I am honestly trying to work out the mystery here, and this in my opinion makes the most sense.
The mole is working for the ADDC, a hired killer. The reason he is killing Koyre clan members is because he wants to ignite a clan war, and having the Koyre clan be angry at the Matsguane clan makes the most sense. If I had to guess, I think he is hoping he wants the whole Yakuza that the Matsguane clan is a part of to join, weaking the Koyre Yakuza, and by extension the plan to take the ADCC down. Shinitani was both a warning for Yagami as well as to prevent him from speaking about something, likley about the the drug.
Except that the only reason ADCC is in the picture is because of the body dumped in Yagami's office. That body clearly died from a gun wound rather than the eye gouging and his victim wasn't yakuza. Rather than him randomly deciding to change his MO but still make it look like his work, I suspect that the ADCC has a separate cleaner who was trying to make it look like the moles work. Even look at the fact that the death of Hattori showed that this cleaner is incredibly cafeful not to get caught as he made the death seem like a drunken brawl and got away Scot-free. Contrast that to the mole who has been doing these very public eye catching murders. While he might have purposely made these so flashy to cause the war you suspected him of, it doesn't make sense to kill a random lawyer in the same way and link it to himself. It makes even less sense because that lawyer was the one who got his presumed client off the hook.
