That's the same setup I'm after, except I want a F nib rather than EF. I've been contemplating ordering the red M800 from Atlas Stationers that they have on pre order now. Did you ever get to try an M1000?
I LOVE my Pelikan M805 Blue Dunes with Medium nib. But lately I’ve been noticing stock getting low or running out everywhere for other M800 or M805 Pelikan pens. And there’s a rumor Pelikan is having financial trouble. Is this true? I hope not. I want at least one more Pelikan pen soon.
Interesting comment. A major Pellikan stockist in the UK has just had a sale and they have been out of stock for a while. I see other online shops seem not to have the usual spread of models and an Italian seller has superb discounts at the moment. I just put it all down to Covid. I know that Sailor ran into Covid troubles earlier on in the pandemic...
@@kevinu.k.7042 Hi Kevin, I'm in the UK too and am just getting into these beautiful pens. In your experience, who would you suggest buying from? Thanks.
@@isanna6075 Try Penbox. The owner is elderly and can be a little quirky. However he is professional, his prices are good and he delivers quickly. I had to telephone three times to catch the shop open. Email might be the better way to go. Of all of the pens I have these are right up there as one of my top writing experiences along with the Sailor PG Realo and Pilot Custom 823. But, if I could only have one pen, it would be the Pelikan 805. Enjoy
@@isanna6075 You might get two replies from me here. Apologies. RUclips can be funny with replies directly from the notification panel. Try Penbox - usually the best prices and a reliable shop too. They have a website shop too. If you telephone the (elderly) guy be warned he keeps unpredictable shop times and you need to keep trying sometimes. But, he ships quickly and is reliable.
Try any steel nib with an ebonite feed like the Indian Kanwrite EEFs (steel nib), or a Leonardo (much more expensive), or Japanese nibs with plastic feeds, Sailor F, or a Pilot EF.
I just bought a new m805 fine nib but it dry starts allot in the beginning of almost every other word and when making quick long lines. I don't have much experience in fountain pens, so I tried soaking the nib in distilled water, based on what I read on the net, but no improvement. Is there something I can do to fix it? It's a dry nib although when I'm writing sometimes it doesn't seem to be that dry to cause hard starts and skipping.
@@Doodlebud Got it from Cult Pens. I just sent them an email and waiting for a reply. I'm not sure how the shipping costs would be handled but I'll wait and see.
I don't really notice any from posting, but I see tiny ones where the cap screws onto the body. They can be polished out very easy though. More noticeable since this pen is darker.
Love the pen, especially with the optional two tone nib. I might try that when I order a M805 Stresemann.
I did mine at Cult pens and they had a small extra charge but for me it was worth it. I would love love love to get a M1005 Stresemann one day 🤤
I can see why you like the ink. It really pops especially on the line width video.
That M805 looks like a pocket pen in your hands. What are you, a giant? 👀😂😂
Lol, not quite. But I am a pretty big guy, just under 2m
Love my M800 with a fine nib. My final has two chick. Does that make it vintage?

Havent tried an M1000 yet, but want to!

No idea on the financials of Pelikan. Would be a shame since they've been around for ever. I do want to get an M1000 at some point

I brought dozons of fountain pen 🖋️ but got upset... Any fountain pen have extra fine nib with super wet ...?
This will help me alot😭
EF will inherently drier just due to the small tip size. My wettest EF is my Lamy 2000

Oh thanks for the Help Sir

Where did you buy it from? I would contact the retailer right away so it can be taken care of. At that price, tbe pen should perform perfectly

I bought mine from them too. They should hopefully make it right
*Thank you.*
thank you
That was a very subdued review.
LOL it was one of my first videos
You are 100 times better now! Love your channel.
I see that you always post the cap. Does this pen get scratches from posting?
