the fact that they are killing off the maxima, they should do one last bring back, same v6 with 300+ hp, but drop in the 9 speed transmission they're using in the frontier and pathfinder. Let fans and consumers get one good last ride.
@@Spartan536 bro yes there are gonna keep producing maximas after 2023 they gonna be electric in 2024 please do your research and know what you talking bout 🙄😂

I love my 2020 Nissan Maxima Platinum, just wish it was rear wheel drive and a true 8 speed transmission. Too bad they are dropping it next year for an electric version in 2025. Great Review
Nice car Nissan is a hit and miss I u to have a Nissan Sentra 2012 bought it back in 2014 and after 2 years it was giving me problems. But my mom owns a 2016 Nissan Altima and so far it’s been reliable just the paint sucks it’s already faded.
RIP Maxima, I love my 2016 Maxima but listening to him take off in Sport Mode and that God Awful CVT whine I'll never get used to it, its the car's one glaring flaw. Sport Mode exacerbates that horrible CVT noise, I never use it.
@@Therealpeter10 Yeah I'm not a fan of CVTs neither but if you take care of it, it should last you a while, CVTs are meant for fuel efficiency so if you drive this conservative it should last you a while.
Wait til 50-60K when all the annoying problems set in. Rear clunk from the right side suspension. Rattle from the front left suspension. Wheel bearings in the front going out. Poor quality front rotors that won't last and pads not much better. Alcantara seats that rub and turn a lighter color. Radio that wants to turn off and stay off. Radio that will just start rotating the stations bar for no reason minutes at a time. The crappy setup for the in car filtration. The thin cheap carpet (get some WeatherTech liners now) that will wear a hole where your heel sits on the left side. The car is total garbage. Luckily I only paid $31K for a leftover 17 that was $40K.
i know i’m 5 months late, but i don’t know if nissan downgraded with the recent releases of the maxima, since i have a 2016 maxima platinum, and been driving it for a very long time, mileage is 160k and i still have no problems with it at all. still works like it was brand new. other than changing brakes and suspension, those were the only times where i had to do any repairs. leather seats still look brand new and still is as comfortable as it was back when it was purchased by my mom back in 2015. smoothest and most comfortable car i’ve ever driven. no weird noises from the car, radio works perfectly fine. sad that you didn’t have a good experience with the car.

I agree 100%
The current Nissan Maxima is due a redesign & a traditional 8 spd transmission but overall amazing car looks stunning 😍.
I hope so. I also hope the Altima loses the CVT too.

The Bose sounds system sounds awesome
Yes its amazing!
I changed mines out with Focal Flax Evos, epic center and tire wheel sub by cerwin Vega. Bose was no match for it.

Crazy how the nissan maxima has a better interior compared to infiniti q50.
The maxima even has cooled seats while the q50 doesn’t lol

The max had always been a favorite for me. Too bad I can't afford it. I am super jealous tho.
They are like $20k for a 3 year old one. Even I can afford one and pay it off in a year or two here in mexico
@@Brandon-uy1uv exactly! Depreciation on these cars are so bad you can snag one for 20-25k
Love how you do in depth break down on every detail, can you please make a video on the Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve
Terrific video Jay & can't wait to buy this car.
Good review & great Nissan.
Beautiful car!
Never knew I needed this channel
I had a 2017! How do you get these cars? I see you keep them for the evening too😁
I always thought Nissan made a better car than Toyota
When they get discontinue this model
They need to throw the v6 in the Altima
so this one does have the cooled seats 😆

8:00, hand slipped off the wheel, lol.😆
Yes because the steering gets super stiff while on reverse 🤔
@@jaygtestdrives Nissan really needs to improve on the steering experience.
I would rather much pay for the BMW M340i
Would it be worth getting one of these or the Camry xse v6?
Camrys a lot more reliable and it’s also faster cuz it’s got a better CVT.
Do you recommend 91 octane on this car ?
On this yes of course if you want the engine to last.

Still with CD entrance??? Really??? 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 In 2023 model 🤨
Do you prefer this over the Camry trd?
This one, better sound system, more tech but way more expensive
This is more comparable to the Avalon
Does this have a CVT?
Yes
Still a CVT transmission I'm assuming?
Yes but its an enhanced CVT Xtronic transmission from Nissan providing outstanding accelerations and great fuel economy.
