the red leather skirt and blazer is so striking with the rest of the collection! I’m obsessed 😍
The flats the heels the shoes PERIOD. The sweater skirt combo to open was a dream for me there is lot of both classy and hard as f*%#!. It seemed to go from office to winter to resort. Those handbags . I think you have to see each piece as it’s own moment.

Can someone bring the old Prada back? Because this is so BORING
How about bringing the Old prices back from 2020. Prada has almost Doubled their prices on bags, shoes, and RTW. I would never spend $3000 on a fabric jacket that was $1500 just 5 years ago. It will all end up at the Outlet for 60%-70% off 6 months later. I am totally turned off these brands that raise their prices so drastically in such a short timespan.. and I know I am not alone. I think these brands are setting themselves up for failure especially in todays economic climate.

I liked this show and collection. As with many designers this season, there was some restraint exercised, and the potential to go all out was not applied. Maybe cuz a recession is looming in the horizon, and hard earned money needs to be spent wisely. Prada will always be Prada, so the cool vibe of the collection is in its being uncool. The trapezoidal bags are lovely! I want them. The shoes, not so much. They look odd and weird. Also, I noticed many grays in this collection. There are too many grays this season from other designers. Gray cannot be the color of the season. I’m not having any of it!!!

Poor girls returning home late at night after shift on factory in 1980s. Streets full of criminals, girls terrified. Creepy atmosphere, darkness, and dirty foor of subway. We got the impression... Depressing!

Good lord....there's so little Miuccia in these collections. They feel like a non-distinct continuation of each other and slightly dystopian in a way. I really feel like they just fit the same pieces from their menswear show onto these models, switched it up with a skirt and send them on their way.
There's absolutely none of the energy of peak Prada. There's really none of the energy of peak Raf womenswear either, in my opinion. The romanticism he performed at Jil Sander, the futurism of some of his Dior collections, the colors he would use, not even some of the humor he used oh-so-briefly at CK, none of that. Its just the same dichotomy of ultra masculine upper silhouettes with the boxy blazers and ultra feminine skirts and 60's flats...all in this depressing palette (I thought at one point the hues were feeling happier but, alas). It feels pessimistic, which is so anti-fashion to me. When the world is hurting, fashion is a beacon.
That being said, there are some pretty pieces, I love the skirts with the paper cutout appliqués, I like some of these high waisted cigarette pants, the shoes are always on point in my mind at Prada, the brief section with those tucked and pleated evening dresses were superb....but it all felt so brief. None of those concepts held enough exuberance against the weight of those sweatshirts and blazers.

Sharing a Miuccia Prada OR a Raf Simons show without the PROPER MUSIC entirely undercuts their messages as designers. MISINFORMATION go watch the real one for the collection meaning.
Despite the clean lines and strict tailoring, the clothes are so femininely pretty that it’s hard to see Raf’s influences on Prada. That is until 6:50 to 7:35 when we see the white dresses, which resemble the nurse outfits that Raf did for Jil Sander. Lovely collection, like Prada and Jil Sander having babies.

Kylie Jenner is the one who brought Prada back from the Dead. She was photographed wearing the black nylon Prada Re-Edition bag and it triggered Prada's re-birth. She was also responsible for Fendi surge in popularity when she was photographed with the Fendi Baby-buggy in 2018. I'm not really into the Kardashians or Jenners, on a personal level, but they are *huge* when it comes to influencing people to buy certain brands.

The Swing coats and some of the little skirts are cute, but the long Mullet dresses look like a nightmare- Dust your house much.
When I turn off my computer, will I think -- Ooh that Prada,, changed my eye forever? Will a yellow, black, cream shift dress with a weird pocket make me gag?? Probably not, But.. she is Prada and Somehow she stays in business. So whatever.

There are some really beautiful and wearable pieces but overall nothing revolutionary. It seems that Prada fell into the horrible new trend of unflattering oversized clothes. Jackets are too trendy and are already dated. now, the makeup was the worse. They even managed to make Gigi look ugly. Over all, Meh.
