one of the toughest live performance cover of Led Zeppelin out there.. excellent drum skills and the wild noise of the galloping bass. .Mr.Jimmy and front man are synchronised. They are great 💪
i don't want to go hard on the band, Jimmy Sakurai is great and the drummer is amazing, but im missing the kick sound of the original performance which gives all the sense of speed
I listened to this and the 'real' performance back to back. Mr. Jimmy has the real Jimmy's guitar tone down 99.9%. It's a remarkable performance. Bravo~!

Yeah they do sound exactly like it and no other Achilles' rendition. It sounds like Knebworth and not 77's tour

I just stumbled upon this performance. As a die hard Led Zep fan who ranks Achilles in his top 5 zep songs.. this is freaking awesome! Their playing is fantastic and it's just so cool how they recreated that one moment in Led Zeppelin's career with such great attention to all the details ! They don't sound like 77 Achilles but really Knebworth...Love it 😁
Would like to say that the stage and even camera angles are spot on…just like the Led Zeppelin dvd. Amazing performance!!

Love this performance it’s very entertaining….
Its great to have a group of guys that can pull off the whole Zep look and sound. So many others doing similar but I don`t know any of them make it look and sound as authentic as Jimmy Sakurai and his bandmates. And to have Jimmy Page personally in support of it all is a real blessing. Cheers!

Amazing - Compared to the real Knebworth video this is soooooooo close it's scary! Even the body movements of Mr. Jimmy are spot on! Tell Akio that as far as I can see, he has now achieved what he set out to do! Remarkable!

I grew up in a neighborhood of L.A. that had something in water at the beach or maybe the jet exhaust from LAX airport, but an abnormal amount of talented and some famous musicians, singers, actors, athletes came out of there and a couple of drummers were my friends and I would attempt to play but I pay attention to drummers in bands and from my drummer friends pointing out drummers in various bands to listen to.
Like any player of any instrument, there are a ton of people around the world who can play an instrument well. Some can plac very well. When you live in the heart of L.A. all those musicians eventually end up here. It isn't a question of are you good or how good you are but how much better are you than 500 other players that are the best from wherever they came from and now they are here.
It's pretty rare that someone who is a member of a band and has a record deal isn't a great bass player or great drummer, etc... there is no reason for a band to have less than great musicians playing and members of the group. There are thousands of really talented musicians, that never get a break or get that break and there album gets finished they go out as an opening act and that type of band is no longer cool as of two weeks ago because some new band had a hit. A good friend was the base player in a band around 1990 named Neverland. Neverland was the pet project of a new record lavel and the owner himself built the band around the guitar player. That new label was Interscope records and Jimmy Iovine owned it. The band got huge backing, recorded at the hest studios with the best engineers went on the road with bands like Warrant, Garbage, other big hair bands and with the Moody Blues. They had a video on MTV they had a song in the movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, but at that same time, Interscope signed and gave halr the company to Dr Dre. Rap was at the top. Eminem was on Interscope, then Nirvana and MotherLoveBone and Soundgarden were the music making big noise and money . Neverland was a hard rock, not glam not makeup wearing but kinda hippie Zeppelin paisley and bell bottoms band that was an amazing group of top musicians and they got shelved. Literally overnight.
But, i pay attention to drimmers because I like drums and percussion instruments.
Frankie was a very very good drummer. He played this song note for note in time, and pulled off fills that were Bonham trademarks. This is a vwry technical song for all the instruments. And with Frankie's passing just in 2019 this must have been not long before he died. He died quickly of Pancreatic Cancer.. you get the diagnosis and you have 6 months maybe a year to live and 98% mortality.

To my 60+ year old ears, this is so much better than the JBLZE performances. Lots of depth and breathing room in this rendition of a great Zeppelin song.

Τalking about the guitarist, yes he very much resembles Jimmy Page indeed. I was almost foolled into thinking it was him. The singer too looks and sounds very much like the original. Except that at the time, Robert Plant wore on stage very tight jeans instead. So tight in fact that one could see clearly every inch of his love 🤣🤣🤣

Great recreation and damn, THESE are the camera views I dream of having of the real Knebworth. This live Achilles was an absolute showstopper for the drums and we only got occasional glimpses of Bonham playing. When I see today's performances, it makes me crave the real thing even more. Well done to all involved in this.

Jimmy Sakurai has been in Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening for years. Saw them open for Peter Frampton. He has Jimmy Page’s tone, swagger and everything else down!

I was at both Knebworths. This is uncanny. Even down to how sloppy Jimmy was on the nights.
I think Jimmy Page was probably doing a lot of drugs at that time. He was the only one who was sweating like crazy. But I love Jimmy Page. Jimmy Sakurai is already 50 years old, but it's amazing how he reproduces the Jimmy Page of his younger days with a performance that surpasses Jimmy Page's. I went to see him in Tokyo twice, and he really stayed on stage for two and a half hours. He's 50 years old.

Jimmy Sakurai è un chitarrista fantastico ed il lavoro che fa ,riproducendo il suono di PAGE ,è incredibile. Quello che un po mi disturba e non mi piace ,delle COVER BAND ,in generale, è: vestirsi e atteggiaggiarsi come i VERI ARTISTI ......ma non voglio fare il dissacratore e l odiatore a tutti i costi.
