The kit comes with everything necessary to build a working unit, including resistors from Ohmite and Vishay, capacitors from JJ Electronic and Mojo Dijon, Heyboer transformers, Belton tube sockets, and potentiometers by Alpha. When you've completed the project, take comfort in knowing your hard work is protected in a rock-solid finger-joint construction baltic-birch head shell made right here in our factory.
Also included is a full-color wiring diagram which provides a faithful road map of all the right angles and mil-spec techniques which were documented from studying two original examples from the early seventies.

I must have this kit! This is the ULTIMATE!
I built a 1972 DR504 clone about a year ago. You guys actually sold me the head cab (and a lot of other parts). I also had to order parts from the UK. It turned out to be a mishmash is US and metric parts, and I did it by looking at schematics and pictures of the internal wiring. It was my first amp build. Anyway, I will build this kit one day. If you are not familiar with Hiwatt amps, you should be. Amazing sound. I hope you guys are still doing the annual amp build weekend in Burgaw in Feb. I can’t wait!
No channel jumping? Great that this kit is out there but something half (or less) as powerful would probably be more useful for most people.

I dunno about this specific clone, but the sentiment that pushing the master volume up when the inputs are dimed won't add overdrive is just not how Hiwatts work(ed). The bulk of their grit came from the power tubes cooking.
