Trek FX2 goes to Whistler! Yup, decided to take the bike to Whistler for the weekend. It's not a mountain bike and it's not a gravel bike so how does the hybrid commuter do on Whistler Valley trails? Surprisingly good!
It doesn't have to handle mud since this is set up much more suitable for mountain bikes which FX 2 disk isn't. I own one for several months and I'm extremely satisfied how it handles in most situations, with smooth shifting, built quality and for the most part how comfortable it is. For me the only minor issues are handlebar grips that could be more comfortable with better shock absorbing and support. But these can be easily changed. This bike should be perfect if one knows for what is it made for: predominantly paved roads and some light gravel. Trek Marlin is good choice for harder trails including lot of mud.

Yes with the right tyres Cx tryes
Yes it does good on gravel as long as it's dry. Does not handle mud at all
