Nice to seee the new kiwi saddle hut, havent been there for years, but i remember carting loads of gear into the old kiwi saddle and rebuilding the fire place, carrying shingle off a shingle slide in my pack for concreteing the fire place,nz forrestsrvice flew in the cement, great fun still have the photos.
If your mic is external to the camera try tying a bit of cloth over it in windy conditions as this can help reduce that annoying wind sound. you will have to talk a bit louder. Gotta love the the Kawekas and deer out in the open. thanx for the video
Absolutely awesome - thanks for sharing that one, what a beauty of a spot, will have to head there one day soon, keep talking about going the kawekas. Good one filming the hinds, would of been tempting to pop that last one off eh ;) I use the Rode Shotgun mic with the fluffy cat over it to combat the wind. Hope that helps. Keep it up.
Thanks mate! Yeh I love the Kawekas, such an awesome part of the country, make sure you get there one day! Ha, yeh was tempting being so close to the pick up.
Great stuff, Im working on my fitness to get up the tops, haven't been up there yet just day trips up cameron so far. Want to get confident enough to take the kids out too.
You could go either Kaweka J, Mackintosh Spur or The Lakes Car park mate. All involve a bit of a climb but not too bad! When you thinking of heading in?!
guns probably in the new year..my sons keen to get up the kawekas to see our first sika.im not sure we need to hit the main range as our first intro to them tho..any easier fly camp spots to get us started??cheers..gd vids by the way.👍
@@DS-zp9vv Good stuff! You could go to Middle Hill or Makino Hut area and bush stalk those areas. For the more open stuff, you'll need to tackle the main range.
