i ride bikes im 12 and one day i was riding a walmart bmx called a kent ambush anyways back to the story i was riding on the sidewalk as fast as i could i think like 18 mph and got a speed wobble really bad and lost control of the bike and went strait into a fence then flew otb and smacked my head so hard luckily i had a full face dirt bike helmet on and was sliding across the ground at probs 14 cuz i slowed down when i hit the fence and this lady came to see if i was ok the first thing i said was is there a blinking red light on this (points to gopro) and she says no i was in my head like ffffffuuuuuccccckk but i told her i was ok and i walked home

Something similar happened to me when I was 20, three guys jumped in an alley and beat me into unconsciousness, fractured skull etc too. I had some memory and anxiety issues after this and will never find out who did this to me. Move on, that's all you can sometimes.

Skateboarding is real mental game. Trying to do things you "can't do". Kickflip this set or doing this trick on a rail or ledge and telling yourself you won't except "can't". This guy has the true mentality of skateboarder.
First thing i did after watching this video was hugged my cat, got some strawberries and watched the DC video again reflecting on how grateful i am for everything ive taken for granted.

23 days in coma and 2 months in the hospital for me and they told me the same thing, you will never walk again and you will never ride bike. Now I’m a year and a half back into biking and I’m learning faster than I ever did!!! Love seeing inspirational stories like this. I’m glad you made it man! Keep going strong 💪🏽

3 years ago I had a series of knocks to the head causing a lot of problems that I still deal with today. I still can’t do a lot of things but basic street skating has gotten me hyped recently. And this mans story was so inspiring, I’m eternally grateful for every little thing and I WILL do the shit I used to do. Thanks for the video.

This was a super inspiring story and proof that if you want something bad enough that nothing can stop you. The power of positive thinking paired with your love of skateboarding is what saved your life. Just remember karmas a bitch and those dudes will learn that one day.
So gnarly. I had a severe brain injury as a kid when I fell bombing a hill. Doctors said that I shouldn’t skate again because another head hit like that and I could definitely die. First thought in my head “I’m 100% gonna skate”. 14 years later, still going.

I’ve been watching a lot of injury stories from skaters and this shit is so interesting. I find is so awesome that they are so dedicated that they instantly wanna go back and skate again.

Dame this reminds me of my friend Dre when he was jumped at a party & one of the dude had brass knuckles...GOD his injuries were so sad man his mom opens he door when we went to visit him after the surgery and she closes the door behind her and tell us don't freak out or look sad he hasn't even looked in a mirror yet ...& dame I look back on that and thank his mom for doing that because looking at him crushed all are hearts..he was still the same old Dre though he asked if I could clean and re paint his Jordan 9's the cool grey color way because after the fight they were burgundy from all the blood....it's dope to hear both of them made it out ok ......p.s. I have that same color way of the Osiris shoes in the back of the video

Damn. I went through a pretty severe head injury in 2016 and I can totally relate to what the doctors were saying. They told my family I wouldn’t walk or talk again while I was still sleeping and I woke up laughing and joking around. walked out of there a week after waking up. It’s hard to say if I feel any different after the injury because your reality will always seem normal but everyone is surprised when I tell them the story. It was a lame couple months but I’ve been going strong 💪. Good video
