When taking into account these injuries she sustained, how do we know for sure that it was Conor that subjected her to said abuse and committed SA? The fact of the matter is you don’t know for sure, it’s effectively a he said she said situation. None of the other witnesses corroborated her story, and the police reviewed all of the evidence and dismissed the case on those grounds. If it were a clean cut case like you’re making it out to be he’d be doing time as we speak….

I have trust in basic physical evidence. "Severe and moderate brusing, all over her body". Doctors don´t use those words lightly. His DNA was inside of her, so he had to admit he was "there". She went to the hospital, they removed a tampon with forceps, from her cervix and photos was taken of the bruises. She talked to the police, they just said "that there was not enough evidence, for a criminal case"? .. (When is there enough?).
They didn't say there wasn't enough evidence, they said the evidence wasn't sufficient.. There is plenty of evidence, just not enough to remotely prove SA in a criminal court

Bruising isn't seen in any CCTV footage but she went home and told her boyfriend (which is all on tape and he clearly knew she was lying by his responses) and probably got her ass beat. Then there were 2 parties looking to skate on their actions so they went on with the rape story. Meanwhile, the case was going to take forever and the boyfriend is long gone. Interesting.

they basically need cctv footage of the actual SA or a confession. Lawyers are very good at arguing using the grey area with things like rough sex to get not guilty verdicts.

CONOR MCGREGOR CIVIL CASE FACTS
1. The accuser first proposed McGregor, sending him suggestive pictures over social media and volunteering to go to his hotel. Despite this, she claims she had no desire to sleep with him.
2. She left her boyfriend to look after her kids at home to go see McGregor as part of a multi-day (3-4 days) bender, but lied to him about where she was.
3. CCTV showed her kissing and touching both McGregor and his freind -- After McGregor was alleged to have "raped" her. In fact, she stayed for almost a full day, partying and drinking after the alleged assault
4. She alleged he put her in a choke hold and said "now you know how i felt in the octagon where i tapped three times" -- Really ???
5. A couple in the bedroom next door testified against her account of events they never saw or heard any signs of assault. One of these people that testified this was HER OWN freind and work colleague.
6. One of those people testified that he slept with the woman. She denied this, but it was seemingly corroborated by CCTV footage showing her all over him AFTER the alleged "rape". She also sued this man for sexual assault (despite claiming to have no recollection of meeting him), but he was found NOT GUILTY by the jury
7. She claimed to have no memory of the events of the CCTV footage showing her all over the two men, but had a good memory of everything else.
8. She claimed to be out of it at the time of the assault, explaining her lapsed memory, but she was texting her boyfriend at that time
9. For some reason, her boyfriend recorded the conversation with her when she returned home. What does that suggest?
10. The case was thrown out as a criminal case by the DPP due to insufficient evidence-- TWICE. This was a civil case where it does not need to be proved "beyond reasonable doubt" but just found to be more likely than not.
The jury was made up of 8 women and just 4 men. And lastly, this is NOT a rape conviction, but an award for damages over an ASSAULT !!
11. Her (Nikita) boyfriend had gang ties and is allegedly in debt to them, which could certainly explain why masked men raided her home targeted him only.
People like to point the finger at McGregor and say he had something to do with it, when there no proof at all of this and this wasnt even a complaint upon McGregor just propaganda irish tabloids.
Finally, here is what the DPP told the woman when she tried to bring this as a criminal case, for why her story could not be proven in a criminal trial.
"One significant factor in this case was the existence of a second suspect who claims to have had sex with you after you say you were raped by the first suspect"
"As you know, you have no recollection of intercourse with the second suspect and have stated that if sex had taken place it would not have been consensual"
"You also described in your statement the amount of alcohol and drugs you had consumed.
"The CCTV from the hotel as well as relevant witness statements from hotel staff and taxi driver were considered."
Its obvious from the reactions of regime mouthpieces to this that they are gleeful about an opportunity to destroy McGregors reputation and neutralise his voice in irish politics, something they have been keen to do since he spoke out and expressed the voice of many voiceless irish people last year.
Whatever your feelings on McGregor, he doesn't deserve the awful label of rapist on the basis of this.

The most pertinent fact is that these charges suddenly appeared shortly after he started speaking against the establishment.
As most of the people of Ireland in the beginning were rooting for conor. As time passed, the money and the fame obviously became too much to handle for him. It overwhelmed his ego and brought the worst of his traits to the surface. He has lost alot of love from our country and i do pitty him in a way. I dont like the person he has turned out to be. Yep. A 9-3 civil verdict is weaker than a unanimous criminal conviction because civil cases use a lower standard. The fact that 3 jurors ruled not guilty means 'doubt' about his guilt still exists. If this was a criminal court, this 9-3 ruling would mean a 'not guilty' verdict. The 51% standard in civil cases means a party must prove their case is slightly more likely (just over 50%) to be true than the opposing side's. A civil ruling is no more credible than a coin toss.

The problem i have with this case as a criminologist is that how do you go and sleep with another man after labelling yourself a victim? Then try and accuse second man of assault? I think Conors past played a major role here, his crimes, him being outspoken against the irish government. It makes no sense and its clear as day that she isnt being truthful

The gardai (Irish police force) presented the evidence to the director of public prosecution and they decided it wouldn’t be proved in criminal court beyond all reasonable doubt so decided not to bring a criminal case.

After the Depp/Heard 2 trial and what that exposed about the depths a woman can go to fake accusations, everyone should be skeptical. Although most of Nikita Hands evidence has holes in it, she could very well be telling the truth or not. She's almost got absolutely no recollection of anything over the whole time, except what went on with conor it seems. It's crazy how many people are saying conor is guilty without following the trial and hearing a shred of evidence. That's the most worrying thing no matter how much of a clown the man is. I think had this been televised more people would have been on conors side, but Nikitas significant bruising is the issue. Can't imagine what it must have been like for her once the drink and drugs wore off, she had to face her boyfriend who she'd been lying to for 3 days and then discover this bruising over her entire body and not knowing how it happened. Nothing worse than the anxiety that kicks in after a heavy night out where you have no memory, but to be bruised like that the panic attack must be crazy. Either she had some serious falls or conor was using her like a ragdoll.

Im in dublin and it looked weird to me… i reluctantly started to believe he was guilty after watching daily hr long trial podcasts but now i am insure. The Irish government started to back her in the newspaper and ring her and the justice minister Helen McEntee made some ridiculous comment about now rape cases should go through the civil instead of the criminal courts and then this parade through Dublin looked very staged and though I had backed the victim I’m now getting suspicious the Conor McGregor maybe innocent I still don’t know but I’m just suspicious about how many people have jumped on this and it just it feels funny
I didn’t follow the case or the evidence, but here’s a few observations- it was a civil case, therefore the decision was on the balance of probabilities, not beyond all reasonable doubt- it appears that the police and criminal prosecution decided that it could not be proved in criminal court.
From what I’ve seen McGregor was found guilty of assault, not sexual assault or rape. The friend also had sex with her, but no finding of guilt, so the decision appears to be based solely on the level of force used during the act of sexual intercourse, not rape. So the finding was one of assault, not rape?
It appears that she acted like a “groupie”, was happy to be involved in the “party” until either it went too far, or afterwards, when she thought through what had happened and decided to report it to the police.
There’s been a finding of guilt for assault, not rape. I would suggest that women stop going into bedrooms with men like McGregor and Weinstein. If you’re asked to meet in a bedroom, what do you think is a possible outcome. I’m not victim shaming, it’s just common sense. He’s obviously not totally innocent, probably arrogant and likes having one nighters with women and this is the first one to get to civil court.
Some accurate reporting of the actual finding of guilt, for the specific act would be good. At the moment, it looks like there was a rape complaint and jury decided that he used too much force, hence the assault verdict - or am I wrong, I can’t. Be bothered to trawl through all of the internet articles to find out the facts, which don’t seem to be easily evident, when you start looking

However, I have to comment that viewers of this should listen to the Crime World podcast made by an Irish journalist, who was in the court room as it is a bit misleading of you to say she accused both of the same crime. One of the aspects people overlook in this case is that Nikita Hand has openly stated she has no memory of sleeping with McGregor's mate and is not accusing him of the a crime. Yet She went as far as to say she had no issues with McGregor'e friend and was consistent in her accounts, even with gaps in memory. The reason his friend ended up being in this case was because he told the police he had slept with her a few days after McGregor was questioned over it, thus implicating himself in this as having possibly having non consensual sex with her! There are theories that he was a 'fall guy' putting himself up to save McGregor's skin. She additionally will not see a penny of the money she has gained from this and has put her own neck on the line.

civil cases in western courts only require that its plausible that it could have happened. Conors behavior alone is what lost him the trial. this woman sought him out and made numerous sexual advances, and even had sex with another man on the same night after the alleged assault took place. if he wasn't such a rapscallion nobody would have given this lady the time of day.
